The Hammer of Destiny
Starting as from November 2006!
Meeting point:
The village of Horgonz, in the barony of Edraïn, in the kingdom of Agnar. To start the adventure, meet Glibur, he will give you the first clue... Those who will gather the five pieces of the Hammer of Destiny will be rewarded with Great Master 3rd Circle equipment sets!
During the Great Wars that devastated the lands of Ganareth, the powerful Dwarf King Derr Nezzer had a forged hammer, a hammer of unimaginable power to destroy the forces of Dragoon and to seal the portal of souls: the Hammer of Destiny.
It is said that he gathered five of the greatest dwarven forgers of that time and he gave them the heavy task of producing this hammer that would ensure victory to his people over the great winged-worms’ henchmen.
And so, they gathered at Filkmalk, the great dwarven capital, and united their efforts to achieve their noble venture as quickly as possible. From the depths of the earth, they collected the most precious metals and mixed them with the very lava that thunders and howls at the heart of the palace of the Dwarf King. Working relentlessly, they sealed their destiny in the metal of the hammer. The moment the hammer was completed, the King, who wanted that the hammer be the only one that could ever be made, immediately ordered that the forgers who had participated in its creation be killed. This one gesture announced the defeat of the proud Derr Nezzer.
In fact, the hammer, although it allowed him to push back Dragoon’s forces, was directly responsible for his fall. During the great battle of Airin, the King confronted one of Dragoon’s terrifying generals: Zeshmet, he who strikes like thunder. The battle lasted for quite a while and one would have said that the King’s victory was assured. However, the Hammer of Destiny decided otherwise. At the moment he would have delivered the deadly blow to the general, Zeshmet, the fabulous weapon emptied itself of all its magic, delivering Derr Nezzer to the claws of the winged general. The forgers were thus avenged for the ingratitude of the King. The dwarf army fell apart and this was a dark day for the people of Agnar.
Once the prisoners were beaten and the Goths pilfered from the dead, the generals sat at the victory table and shared the spoils. Of course all wanted to take possession of the magic hammer and a quarrel soon broke out among the great dragon’s favorites. In order to appease his evil children, Dragoon smashed the Hammer of Destiny into five pieces and distributed them among his most faithful followers. The magic, it seems, remained intact and great victories were won by the holders of the pieces of the Hammer of Destiny. But it is said that the ghosts of the five master craftsmen continue to watch jealously over the pieces of the hammer and that great dangers threaten those who own them...
The ghosts of the ancient forgers are watching and the riddles of the past sometimes remain so obscure...
