Patch Note 1.0.17.0

Among the numerous evolutions brought by this new Dark and Light patch, you will find that some work has been done on the starting areas which will bring the players together in a single starting point as they begin their journey. You will also find new tribes who inhabit the lands of Ganareth. Find all of this in the patch note below...

New starting areas:

In order to make new players meet other people more quickly as they are experiencing their first hours in Ganareth, the Dark and Light team has chosen to rework the starting areas.

Previously, players started in a village, depending on their race and were initiated with quests located in their own starting areas.

From now on, only two starting areas exist: a Dark area and a Light area. Whatever the chosen race is, players will always start their journey in the same area as the other people of their alignment.

Numerous starting quests are available in order to quickly bring a player to level 20.

Everything is in place in order to make people meet quickly and make major alliances...

Tribes:

Tribes have recently started to live on Ganareth, the players will find them easily along the paths...

When a player conquers a tribe, equipment is won. But in order to fight tribes, players will have to form groups and help each other because the mobs watching over the tribes are too powerful for a single player to succeed. Groups, when properly organized, have to kill the Master and its minions.

More than 55 000 mobs have been added in order to enliven the tribes... new adventures are ahead!

Other changes:

Quests:

  • Reorganization of the content inside the quest book
  • Quests window: the option which allows to only see the active quests is checked by default.
  • Addition of the quest’s description as well a grouping of its dialogs in the quest hud.
  • Addition of an “arrow” to show the direction of the current quest over the head of the character.
  • Improvement of the quest “Loc”:
  • A single “loc” for quests (with a different icon)
  • This “loc” works like a switch (when you select the loc of a quest in its description)
  • If you choose a new “loc”, the old one disappears.
  • There is no timer anymore to the “loc”.
  • Deletion of the “loc” of the active quest if that quest is deleted.

Forts and holdings:

  • The withdraw limit of 10 000 Goths has been removed in forts and holdings.
  • Improvement of the forts and holdings’ window: you can now directly select an element by clicking on the 3D item.

Camera:

  • Change of the mouse click when rotating the camera around the character: the mouse button used is now the right button.
  • Rotation of the camera around your character in the Creation and Selection screens: right click + mouse movement.

Mobs & pets:

  • Mobs and pets now properly lose their invisibility when attacking.
  • Modification of the pets’ management: pets aren’t lost anymore when dying; it is now possible to recall them in the pets’ window.

Armors:

  • All armors have a RP name, even those that do not have a recipe.
  • The durability of all chest armors has been improved by 20%.

Spells and FX:

  • Addition of an earthquake Fx for some spells.
  • The autofight doesn’t start after selecting a spell if the spell couldn’t be launched. ?-* Correction of the length of the effect, which was set to 0, and adjustment to 30s for all competence levels.
  • Smother spell: the melee autofight is launched after using that spell.
  • Bypass spell: minimal distance needed to launch the spell set to 20m
  • Correction of the bug on the "Holy Zone Effect" spell: it was shown as a “heal” instead of a damaging spell.
  • Deletion of the application delay for some spells that kept the player from using many spells in a row.
  • Modification of the speed “debuff”: it’s now between -20% and -30% ?-* Update of the PVE spells in order to avoid the use of the conditions on equipment or combo.

Modification of the spells:

  • Citizen:
    • Finishing Strike: when the target doesn’t have less than 20% of HP, the spell can’t be launched.
    • Persistent Energy: the length of the buff is now 10 minutes.
    • Enlargement Illusion: the length of the buff is now 10 minutes.
  • Healer:
    • Revive: the buff of “wisdom” has a 3 minutes length.
  • Shadow Knight:
    • Impious pact: the regeneration time is now 30 minutes.
  • Warrior:
    • Double laceration: correction of the two-weapons detection.
  • Thief:
    • The “stun” spell of the thief will now apply the daze effect instantly.
  • Wizard:
    • Armageddon: the regeneration now requires 15 minutes.
    • Pillar of fire: the regeneration now requires 3 minutes.
    • Wall of fire and Ice shield: the value of the “resist” has been corrected (5 50)
  • Illusionist:
    • Eye of the storm is now a PBAE spell (around yourself): repulse + stun.

Other changes:

  • Optimization of the movement speed of the mobs.
  • The mechanism of the teleport network and of the mana towers has been improved.
  • Modification of the durability of the starting equipments.
  • Nights are shorter: they lasted 12h and now last 8h.
  • Addition of a permanent light around the character at night.
  • Integration of new mobs and vehicles... Everyone will be able to see them, but not everyone will be able to have them!
  • Addition of a chronometer when dying before going back to the bind point.
  • Harmonization of the “reward” system when hunting: a reward bag falls next to the corpse, and quest bag appears.
  • The extraction of the craft ingredients on a corpse is easier and more visual.
  • Addition of new jewelling recipes: 6 new recipes, from Master level to Great Master 1.
  • Optimization of the artificial intelligence management system for NPCs: The attacking, defense, help or combat behaviors are more efficient; interactions between factions and players are more responsive. For example, if a player attacks a NPC and that more NPCs of that faction are around, the attacked NPC can his mates for help.
  • Harmonization of the interfaces’ skins and addition of new “skins” in the character creation window.
  • Correction of the influence of the wind when flying on a dragon.
  • Addition of an Fx when your character dies: the whole UI is affected.
  • Correction of a bug when using catapults after many sieges.
