TOWARD A NEW ERA [FROM THE YEAR 9954 UP TO NOWADAYS]
On the first day of the year 9954, as he was excavating the ruins of an ancient monastery, an intrepid Explorer called Helyazard, discovered a manuscript.
It referred to long forgotten civilizations as well as powerful realms, ruled by ten Gods endowed with tremendous and terrifying powers:
- « Neutra, Goddess of the forests, revered by the Wood Elves of the great Forest of Whulh »
- « Calder, Master of the volcanic lands and of the realm of endless night where the Dark Elves dwell »
- « Aesir, Goddess of the ice and light lands, where the « Braves’ camp » was set up and guards the door of Mighty Gothar, God above all Gods »
- « Hel, God of the land of storms, the protector of the High-Elves, the Masters of the Chaos islands »
- « Ysatis, great Goddess of the grasslands, the Sprites were dwelled in the deep ends of the high grasslands of Zith »
- « Agnar, God and Master of the mountains inhabited by the Dwarves at the foot of Agnar summit »
- « Zephyr, God of the desert, where the Half-Orcs live in legions in the oasis of Al’Aziif »
- « Hydra, Goddess of water and of the Gnomes, gathered around the great and majestic lake of their ancestors »
- « Malecta, Goddess of marshes and the Half-Trolls, who live nearby the Lake of Dark Water »
- « Gothar, God of Gods, Mighty Master of his realm where the Immortals and the race of Giants live, protector of Men and of Half-Men and Fairies »
Progressively, the ancient cults were practised once again by the Neutral People at first in secret and then openly.
Forty-six years after the first manuscripts were discovered, the nine Gods, sleeping in their constellations and dreaming of their past splendours, were woken from their slumber and became attentive to the future of Ganareth.
In the neutral territories, inexplicable events took place more and more often to the point of awaking the curiosity of the Dark and Light people. The peasants’ harvest in the first realm became so abundant that the barns began to overflow. The Explorers observed other strange manifestations throughout the other realms.
Whilst those who had chosen the magic way understood the reason for these extraordinary events, they saw in them a unique opportunity to slake their desire to recover their realms where their ancestors had lived and to establish the domination of their magic. With the help and the protection of the Gods, nothing seemed able to stop them.
Following the upheavals caused by Helyazard’s discovery, the Explorers vowed not to intervene in the affairs of Ganareth and to stay neutral as much as possible. In the Dark and Light realms , the Adventurers prepared to conquer a new Eden...None of the conquerors realized that they were preparing to break the pact that Gothar had made with their elders...
The inhabitants of the realms, who, in the past, had proved to be neutral and peaceful, felt the terrible force of magic falling upon them again and prepared to fall under the yoke of their new masters, Dark and Light.
This is the dawn of a new adventure: numerous quests and adventures lie ahead in a new era of the world of Dark and Light. The choice of the magic will be the first dilemma. To control the territories, you should repossess the Mana fountains and reactivate them so as to spread the influence of the magic that you are using and rebuilt the temples to restore their powers to the Gods who used to rule.
