The Bard:

The Bard class is very different from the other classes in this archetype. The bard is geared towards support and magic. Bards have several songs and tricks that can be used to achieve their goals.

The first path is the most offensive one. When taking it, the Bard can bewitch a humanoid with his/her songs and have it fight on his/her own side. The Bard can also stun an enemy, deal damage with his/her cries, or simply make the target fall asleep for a short time. On the other hand Bards are able to awaken sleeping allies, to slow down an enemy, to quicken his/her own speed, to make a target become totally insane, or to make the resistance of his/her enemies go down.

The second is focused on support with a wide range of songs that can be used to aid allies during fights. They can be used to make the quickness or the aim of his/her allies increase, to make it easier for the Bard’s allies to recover when they are down or to keep the opponents quiet. Eventually, the Bard will be able to evacuate his/her whole group, all at once, allowing them to escape a bad situation.

The expert bard can become proficient with a few weapons, can increase his/her regeneration rates and take advantage of some useful abilities which are pretty similar to the thief’s.

The bard is the one who makes a battle go favorably for his/her group, the one who has no spectacular spells but helps allies and is a real nuisance to enemies. The bard is very quick and is present in all aspects of the fight. Bards have a very active role in fights and can be useful on both sides, so they must be ready to switch tactics whenever necessary. A Bard’s presence is very appreciated in a group, since he/she makes the other archetype’s work much easier. The loner bard has to be careful but with his/her abilities to run away or regenerate, they are relatively safe.
