A few questions...

K, lets see if there are some helpful forum ppl here ;)

A few questions...

1: The developers, who are they, i checked their site, doesnt look really professional, seems to me (at first sight) that they are just 5 guys working on this entire project... which i find very hard to believe... did i miss anything?

2: About the game, so, there will be different races, different classes, different professions, different kingdoms and 2 different sides... but how will you get credits/make money... like all other games by hunting, mining, crafting and so on?

3: Guilds.. what are the major guilds here... i've seen a lot of guild forums, but which are the most active ones?

4: are there any info sites, previews or reviews about Dark and Light, because i didnt find much yet :mad:

to answer question 3, The two most active guilds are CCC(dark) and Divinitus (light) but it isn;t about the most active or alive but each one has it's own requirements. There are guilds for theives, light, light-neutral, neutral, dark-neutral, dark, mercenaries. the list goes on. So decide what your looking for and then it's easier to find a guild.

question 4: Well since the game is in alpha we haven't heard of any one trying it except the devs. You can look at scteen shots, but they show the enviroment and graphic display.. no gameplay.

I understand that every guild has its own purpose and its own alignment, but the better the guild is.. the more active the members are. thats why i asked which were the most active ones.

Some answers:
1) ND3 has over 25 people working on this project. Most of em have over 15 years of experience. So they really are professionals, or I could say more than professionals *smiles* They have done their own networking engine and as I see also graphic engine. I'm not sure but then they might have done somekind of prosessing divider that divedes prosesses to different machines allowing unlimited amounts of players in one server.

2) Hunting, mining, crafting, trading, being politician, exploring, etc.. There is sXp (sosial experience) and normal experience. You can be peaceful or fighter type of player.

3) Divinitus (light) and CCC (dark) are the largest and most active.

4) www.darkandlight.com is the official one and the best at the moment. I think there will be more coming like mushrooms in rain as we go into beta state.

eXp|ict, with the little info there is now you cant built an entire info site about DnL. It wont even be enough to make a stratics directory out of it. We will have to wait then. beta should start in 1 to 4 month's. :)

there is another active guild on the French side called "les baroudeurs" it has 20 members.. As for a site i think someone in the french community has just decided to create one dedicated to DnL and the french community ... Nothing concerning English speaking community just yet..

hmm, I'll talk to some people at GameSpy and Stratics, but as long as the game isnt in beta (and as long as the devs arent taking a big part of the community) we wont see a full scaled DnL info site :casstet:

An answer to question 3, a new guild which is getting bigger all the time is Soldiers of Fortune, you might have heard of it? :)
