A strong family of priests that serve Tempus, the God of War, and are built on a strong foundation of loyalty and friendship. They inhabit many worlds, spreading the word of Tempus to all and striking fear into the hearts of those who cherish evil. The Soldiers of Light have been through many changes, which has only strenghtened their resolve to strive towards peace through aggression, a motto they hold close to their hearts.

Peace Through Aggression
"Please bear with me while I take you back to the time prior to the conception of the soldiers of light. NWN (Never Winter Nights) Was filled with different types of guilds all based off of one form or another of either Role-play, or PVP, or in some cases both. These various guilds consisted of players who all had the same basic alignment (lawful good, Chaotic Evil, Etc). However "All" of the PVP guilds at this time where all Evil (Chaotic or Lawful). The three founders of the Soldiers of Light (Sol Lumen, Sol Abyss, and Sol Sun) were in a guild called the silver blades. We quickly learned that PVP was a huge part of this brand new world. We would practice and discuss many different types of strategies. All of which were frowned upon by our guild.
You see at the time the Silver blades and all the other good aligned guilds where Lawful good and would not condone any form of aggression provoked by their members. They would however allow its members to defend themselves. At that time and for the most part it still stands today that Evil guilds and Evil characters tend to Attack people when they feel the odds are stacked in their favor. It is a rare occurrence that one Evil character would jump say 10 Good aligned characters of equal skill. But in those days of NWN it was extremely common to find 1 good aligned character jumped by 7 evil characters, or an Evil character jump into the fray with 5 or so newbies.
The three founders had found that only being able to PVP when you were attacked put the good aligned guilds at a severe disadvantage. We also agreed that as a lawful good character that we could not in good conscience run around picking fights. So we decided to form our own guild and do our best to even the playing field so to speak. So when the Soldiers of Light was founded we based our Goals on those of anyone with good alignment would but added a slight twist. We made ourselves Chaotic (Good OR Neutral). But all members of The Soldiers of Light "HAD" to be chaotic. By being Chaotic it allowed us to do what ever we needed to do. Fight Evil not only on their terms, but also on our own as well. We had most wanted lists and Aggressively sought out these people for punishment (heh so to speak).
The Motto "Peace through readiness" would have fit any of the lawful Good guilds of the day rather well. The Soldiers of light however was formed for the sole purposes of aggressively combating these evil guilds."
