The level Challenge 2003!

Ok ok the game isnt even around yet but wow im lookin at this and it looks so cool :) so obviously ill be powerleveling the second i get this game, real life can take the back seat occasioanly right?? so who wants to join in on this friendly bet ^^? Hmm maybe some guidelines will be in order:
1.) You get a month to level whatever character you want
hmm thats all I can think of, may the highest level win!! (well duh thats the point)

You know u'll lose if I'm in it. Lol, everytime you may get close to my lvl I'll PVP with my big axe hehe. After all the apprentice rarely beats the master :)

Im thinkin about a 1/2elf (which i assume is 1/2 elf 1/2 human??) I got addicted to elves in my last game but i love knights too so hopefully i can use both a sword and bow (thatd be my dream!!) and CRAM, you know i got TCUBED to 46 while you were still only lv 38 from wuahaha *laughs and runs away*
Raff heres my advice, if you like 1:1 sword action, it looks like the big dudes will be able to take the most damage while delivering the most, but theyll be right in on the action so they will be bombarded by MOP sometimes, elves are really dextrous and nimble so are fast with bow and elegant with swords blah blah magic users sit back and waste MP etc etc never played a game with true dwarves in it though so im kind of excited to see how they will work out

I was 43 and you were 44, But who had the better items :)
Also, TC is right about the character choices. However, this game may bring out different qualities of characters never seen in any games b4. So just keep a heads up for something suprising and interesting that you may not have though to be a characteristic of one of the race choices.

Stupid bet IMO i dont like PLing its not what the game is about ... 40 000km2 are to be explored ... realms are to be conquered ... items are to be found ... people are to be met... quests are to be done... duels are to be fought... wars are to be won ...so much to do , idotn see how can u have only one goal , gain levels ...

But hey i guess its all about tastes...

No, no, it's about levels at first. Then you are a powerful character early in the game, and you can go fight your duels, conquer your realms, win your wars, meet people... But you can do it better than all the low lvls who try it.

Leveling is only a means of enhancing all of what u said tira, obviously ill be dueling, and doing quests and chatting (oh yes chatting!!) all of that, im an AVID fan of PKing too, but at the begining to hopefully become one of the more powerful players I'll be powerleveling. Obviously Ill have to discover lands while doing it to find good hunting areas and at low level I'll be huntin with friends so I dont get 0wned :). Plus items and high lvls are fun to brag to friends with.

Also, people don't go looking for weak characters to help them with something difficult, they look for someone who actually CAN help them, and not just keel over and die.

Yeah well i dont believe that high levels are always ready to help in fact i believe they often do the opposite , they dont care about ur meaningless weakling life ... If you need help go seek a person a few levels above whom has explored the world , done all the quests etc.. he will be able to help you better than anyone else cos he just been through what you are doing..

I am generally a high lvl in games, not because I am good, but because I play alot. And even though i don't like people I am stil ALWAYS willing to help them. I mean what is the point of being high lvl if you cant help anyone? Besides, power lvling does include the occasional quest because often you get good items, good exp, or a bit of money which always helps.

Exactly, I like being hihg lvl and I think Ill be forced to PK tira to prove my point of being hihg lvl in a PvP world ^_~

Well, the problem is that after a few motnhs of playing you will lose all your skill (when gold comes out). So you can do it all over again. :s

Have fun but remember that we gotta report about bugs and stuff. I doubt you'll be picked to beta test if you are there jsut to lvl! it would be useless because most likely your account history and data will be wiped when game comes out for retail.

Well without a doubt you would want to report any bugs because either way it would improve the performace of the game itself and then your leveling performace would become better due to less interruption from any bugs. So reporting bugs almost goes without saying. Good point out Mene

well, there are also positive bugs, bugs that improve your gameplay. exploits, money bugs, etcetera... but these have to be reported as well :)

Exactly thats the whole fun part :) I Like being "chaotic" sometimes; being on the wanted list would be fun hehe, more of a challenge.

And about the reporting of bugs...if i was to power level I would encounter more parts of the game than say someone who would sit around town chatting with friends correct?

depends on what you power lvl :) andf you might encounter them, but you also have to REPORT them, if ur too busy with powerlvling u might forget bthat part :)

bah you act as if i forget to breathe when i power lvl ;)i power lvled in lineage during winterbreak and had a real life too, its all about playing at awkward times ie midnight to 5am ;)

Legends know how to play games to the greatest capability. And PvP brings out the fun for the legends. Find a PvP partner then you cant be stopped especially two different races. You'll know a legend when that's the main name heard throughout the land and that usually turns out to be the PvP player not to mess with hehe.

After playing lineage you learn that powerlevin is very helpfull. yea we will lose everything when gold comes out by then we will know where to hunt and how to get to hig levs again :) so then when people need help we have already been through it all and know where to send them. anyway im all for powerlevin. ELVES RULE. ill wait for all you guys at the high lev spots. :cool:
