Yeah, The Ancient Order (TAO) are about, thanks for the invitation to DnL. We are all rather excited about this game, kind of came out of nowhere and took us by suprise. Lots of great guilds seem to have already established themselves and we look forward to joining them.

Spirit Monger

History

The Ancient Order was originally formed in Asheron's Call with the combining of two honor guilds
(CED, Circle of the Eternal Dragon and IC, Inner Circle). Other guilds were then added to form an allegiance in the game (Brothers of Amn, PRX, Reckless, and others). Since then, the leaders of TAO have decided to become a multi-gaming guild and its own entity. We have been active in Asheron's Call (AC1), Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC), Shadowbane (SB), and Horizons. We are now currently active in Asheron's Call 2 (AC2), Star Wars Galaxies (SWG), Lineage 2 (L2), and City of Heros (COH).

What TAO is

TAO is a collection of individual gamers who have come together under the same ideology. We are here to have fun and to increase our enjoyment through the guild. We are competitive oriented in the MMORPG genre. We fight with honor and fight to win using our wits and skills. We will aid our friends and allies. We will help those who ask of us reasonable requests. We will fight to the last when required. We will conduct ourselves in an adult manner. We will fight our enemies. Read our Code of conduct for general rules that we follow.

What TAO is not

We will not grief play, use hacks, or exploit. We will not disrespect others. We will not tolerate abusive behavior. We will not cowardly run from a fight. We will not back down or surrender.

Code of Conduct

* Conduct yourself with Honor and Respect

* Defend with your life: Guildmates, Allies, Friends

* Help your guildmates and back them 100% in any confrontation. Let the game leaders figure out a resolution later.

* Listen to and obey your leaders' commands and rules. Leave any interpersonal conflicts that may arise between gulidmates, allies or friends, 'out of the game' and settle them in private

* Stay up to date on guild happenings by reading the message forums.

* Do not trash talk or verbally abuse others with foul language or inappropriate slurs.

* Do not divulge guild/ally information from the private area with those outside the guild.

* Do not board warrior on other message boards on behalf of TAO, e.g. VNBoards, Stratics, etc. Let the leaders be the voice of TAO.

Your conduct should be becoming of these guidelines in the context of the game you are playing.

For more specific implementation, refer to the individual game's CoC addendum.

Greetings TAO, I was honored to know you all on Darktide, I was a core member of a small guild that came to Darktide known as The Annihilation. We then later merged with NWA (Yukon Jack, we had 1300 members when we merged, mosly mules, maybe 50 active) one of our Cores in TA became a core in NWA (Tarmon Gaiden) another later joined TLS and I 'believe' became core there (L R). I was Amok, Fistandantilis and Magius. I voted in NWA to help TAO when you guys declared war on TLS (They were as bad as Blood).

Just in case this game is as good as the testimonials claim, I figured I better cover all my bases. (Sounds too good to be true, but after DAOC and Shadowbane, another game that has castles and siege warfare is something that I find attractive)

I've become a bit too jaded to expect any silver bullet in the future of MORG's, seems like popular economics and EverSimQuest design are here to stay. Not beyond hoping though :) If this game can actually provide solid pvp, without degrading into mindless quakeTide, I can't wait to be a part of it. Here's hoping for a CB account :)
