The Red Lions is a well structured and honourable clan which intends to create a strong and economically prosperous dominion.

The Red Lions Constitution
Member Rights
1) The right to life and security of the person.
2) The right to be treated equally by law and not to be discriminated against on the basis of race, religion, gender, age, etc.
3) Freedom of thought, belief, and expression.
4) Freedom of association, except in times of real or apprehended danger to the state.
5) A person qualifies for these Member Rights by either being in the direct employ of the guild or having been granted citizenship by the monarch.
Government Powers
1) The monarch of the Red Lions has the right to approve a complete override of civil rights in times of real or apprehended insurrection
2) The heir of the current monarch is the eldest nearest of kin, regardless of gender.
3) In the event of no hereditary successor being available, one is appointed prior to a monarch's death.
4) In the event the monarch is temporarily unable to fulfill his duties, an appointed Steward is to take his place.
5) The steward has all powers of a monarch except in amending domestic or foreign documents.
6) A monarch may abdicate after choosing an heir.
7) If the monarch and chosen heir are unable to fulfill their duties and no hereditary heir is available, the royal council may elect among them a monarch.
8) The monarch has the right to over-ride any rules in this document in a crisis.
Military Protocol
1) Military personnel must obey all orders from their commanding officer.
2) Orders from a commanding officer or any rank below may be belayed by a superior officer, but not by an equal one.
3) Military commanders may establish protocol that supercedes Member Rights 3 and 4.
4) Military personnel may take action against any outlaw (except those of the clan and allied clans). However, the military may only take action against other clans if the monarch orders them to, however, they may defend against immediate threats to their person or the clan without such jurisdiction.
Economic Policy
1) Traders in employ of the clan may not have dealings with cities which are considered hostile.
2) Crafters in employ of the clan must respect restrictions on the levels of a product type made and the levels of resource consumed.
3) Crafters in employ of the clan must have an aura chrome in one of the clan's cities, where traders in employ of the clan must do a significant amount of trade within at least one of the clan's cities.
4) Crafters and traders must sell to the clan at deflated rates, but enough to cover supplies and time consumed.
5) No person may evade taxes placed on trade within a Red Lions city.
6) If at any time, the Red Lions do not have control of a city, a tax on income may be established, affecting all qualifying members of the clan.
7) Crafters and traders have the right to set up their own unions/companies with other crafters and traders from the clan and clans considered friendly.
Diplomatic Policy
1) Only the monarch can approve documents, laws, or policies involving foreign clans or individuals.
2) Only the monarch has the power to ally, make peace or agree to any treaty with another clan.
3) The monarch may appoint an ambassador to negotiate treaties with other clans, however the ambassador may not sign the treaty itself.
Amendment
1) This document may be amended with approval from the monarch.

The Red Lions was formed in April of 2002, originaly for Dragon Empires. The constitution posted above was designed for Dragon Empires, however once more is learnt about the game, I will amend it to suit Dark and Light. However, I hope this gives the community an idea of what The Red Lions will be about.
