Welcome to Pandá Republik
We are a small Community of Elves dedicated to the Light Alignment. We welcome Trade and Alliances from all Light Races. As for those that have chosen the way of the Dark Alignment, Trade is also welcome except for Dark Elves, these Dark Elves are banished.
Our History
Our small nations story began over 700 years ago when a young Elf named Aletas, son of Aahin set out on a quest to find a new home for himself and his family. He ventured into a dark land torn apart by war and strife, the land was governed by chaos. The land itself was bare, flames escaped wildly from the cracked, scorched landscape, water was nowhere to be found. He travelled alone for 15 days through this black desert with only rationed food and water. The air was filled with black smoke as thick as tar, he did not know when day turned to night and night turned to day, only exhaustion would force him to sleep. Constantly on guard from Orcs and other evil creatures that possessed this wild land, his journey was slow, only the keen eyesight that he inherited from his elvish ancestors kept him out of trouble, he was able to see danger far into the distance despite the smoke and ash that was constantly rising and falling. Orcs would skirmish with other Orcs continuously, murdering and looting. On the 16th day, he saw daylight, like the brightest diamond, the horizon was shining with life, 'is this a dream?' Aletas asked himself. With weary legs and an empty stomach, Aletas pressed on to this gem on the horizon. It took 4 more days for him to reach this dream which alas, was a beautiful landscape, with crystal clear lakes, mountains like glistening ice soaring into the clear blue sky, vast forests, animals which he hadn't dreamed of before, and rich rich soil which was bursting with food. Aletas had found his paradise, a place for him to start his new life.
In this blissful landscape, Aletas spent one month recovering and storing provisions for his journey back across the baron landscape to tell his family of his findings. With a sense of urgency and happiness, Aletas set off home, the journey this time only taking him 11 days. On his return, Aahin welcomed his son back with open arms, and later that day the announcement was made to the town that Aletas' quest was indeed fruitful. Later that year, 80 Elvish men and women were chosen to start a new Community in the land Aletas' found. The name to be given to this land was to be the name given to the first born of Aletas born in this new land, Pandá.
200 years had passed since Aletas and his companions had begun this small community which had now grown into a majestic Elven landscape, the people of this Republik prospered, the food was rich and plentiful, they had established allies in the lands surrounding them and they as a people, were growing in numbers and in strength. Aletas and his son Pandá knew that a threat lay only 2 days away from them, the orcs were growing in numbers too. Up until now there had only been small skirmishes with the orcs, pockets of 30 or so would attack the outskirts of the Republik, but the Elves, in their wisdom and power, quickly disguinshed these orcs by force. Pandá was given his first real authority around this time, his father, Aletas told Pandá to begin a programme in the training of the Elven men and women in weapons and magic. This was to be a consentrated effort on the part of everyone in the Republik. And so it began, the Generations of families came quicker now, soon Pandá and his wife had a son, Saeros, from Saeros came Gildor who had a son named Angaráto, Angaráto became a father to Elros and finally bringing us to 100 years from the present day, Elrohir was born of Elros. Times had changed during this time, The Pandá Republik's numbers were now impressive, a night and day watch was in place and threats from orc attacks had diminished nearly completely. There was a clear reason for this though, an enemy force had risen and Aletas' own Brother, Caedur, had joined this Dark Alignment. Some thought he had clearly lost his mind, others on the other hand, thought Caedur was right in his actions, the threat from the Dark Alignment was so great that some thought 'why not change sides and guarentee our survival'. Aletas and his sones remained faithful to the Republik and the Light way of things, as did many other Elves. As for Caedur and his followers, they were banished from the Republik for eternity. The order came from Aletas "Any Elf caught communicating or trading with these Dark Elves is punishable by the same fate they themselves have been punished with, banishment".
And so it was, the divide was made between Light and Dark, this wasn't just in the Republik however, this same message was met by everyone on Ganareth.
