The arrow cut through the air with great speed as it soared from the edge of the forest carefuly manuevering through the small towns populous. It was halted, with a thud, by the door of the town hall. Slamming it's head into the wood, it was clear that the arrow was a messanger this day, the dry parchment dangling from it in the breeze made such information clear...

"Heed this as a call to the only children of Neutra left,

Dearest Wood-Elves,
We, The Verdant Watch, seek your arms in defense, and your minds in diplomacy. Our neutrallity is something we have always strived to obtain and keep stable, but with the extremes on either side of the worlds, light to dark, spectrum, are causing unbalances...so much so that we are forced at times, into battle to keep our ability to be neutral from deminishing. It seems neither side cares of our sought stance. The light seeks for our arms to be with them against their enemies in the dark, while the dark is blind to what we seek and would like to see us dead dispite our wishes for neutrallity in most situations. With the world in turmoil of generallized war, the generalization brings us to the point where dangers are consistently finding themselves in our forests. Our homes, and the one thing we find conflict to be necessary, somethign we intend to keep safe, and in the way of things, natural. It is in our blood to be guardians of such beliefs. Close to nature, by the will of our creator, and diety, Neutra. Some of you are traitors to Neutra, others just strayed from the direct path of worship. However, take this call as an offer for accepted repentance. We seek to bring the lost back together with those who have waited all this time. We wish not to become a generic breed, like the fiendish Dark and High Elven hybrids. We must keep to our Neutra's beliefs. Come now, time is of the essence.

Baelaras of The Verdant Watch, Keeper of the Wildwood"

The letter ended with the name of one man, Baelaras. Continuing on the back only with generalized information on how to contact the tribe, among other information...

History of the Founders, Guild Leaders with some Experience
Reigning from the lands of Shadowbane, leaders of Servants of the Shroud, we well respected, strict RP group. Moving from there to World of Warcraft, we ran Knights of Glory's Flame on Silver Hand. Though the game lacked in the way of community, the way they have guild system set up makes it almost pointless to have one or be in one. And though they had RP specified and enforced servers, somehow it still ended up lacking. In the end the game just wasn't epic enough, and was too straight forward to really hold interest. In between those two main guilds, and even before the Servants of the Shroud, we have ran smaller guilds. The experience is there, it is good people we seek now.

The Rules & Guidelines
+General+

1. We are a fun loving group, that fines the joy of gaming in the extensions of the game, more or less in the Role Play aspect of the MMORPG's.

2. We will be recruiting Wood-Elves only. And accepting the following classes : Sorcerer, Illusionist, Archer, Bard, Ranger, Druid, Monk, Warrior

3. We are light of course.

4. We try to keep it mature in the way that we are in fact a strict RP guild, and RP rarely calls for immaturity. We will have more indepth rules about when to be in character, and when to be out of character, when it's appropriate and what not, when the game is released and we can review certain setups and aspects of the game itself. Of course that applies to any premade rules as well.

+Role Playing: In Character+

1. We pray to Neutra, please read of our diety, as Wood-Elves Click Here (http://www.darkandlight.net/article.php3?id_article=180) to read it. We expect you to know at least that much about the diety. If not extended information, which we hope will be posted more and more after release.

2. You are a wood-elf, from what we know of the race just from the Neutra information, they consider themselves the closest thing to the original elves, and technically are. The High-Elves and Dark-Elves strayed from Neutra to follow different paths, we would naturally see them as traitors to their god, but in the light of the fact that we believe in the neutrallity of things, we rarely start conflicts unless necessary, even with the people we see as traitors in most cases. This goes ten fold with other Light siders, of any race.

3. We are going to assume that classes such as Rangers and Druids are the most prestigous classes, or are seen in a higher light then the others in a wilderness worshiping setup such as our guild's. And while priests can gain high ranking positions in our council, we are going to assume that Druids will be more abundant in that aspect. We don't assume more so then hope that things work out in a role play sort of way. Druids being the masters, Rangers being the warrior servants and students. The rest just taking their place wherever, accordingly. That said there is not actually any class restrictions in the way of ranks, anyone can become any rank, high or low.

4. In tradition of the followers of Neutral, twice a year, in the middle of each season, a day will be set asside for the members of the guild/tribe to speak to the council, giving suggestions and other opinions, at which point the guild council of elders and high ranking member will ponder suggestions and other words from the guild body, and take a few days to think them over. No decisions will be made during the ceremony however.

Seeing as the site for DnL, since the change over in styles, has been all but decent. The problem with registration is hendering me from furthering the guilds exploits here on the DnL site itself. The image "bug", which I am researching on the forums as we speak, to find a cure for. Wont let me register because no matter what size variation, file size variation, I use it says something's wrong with it. So I'm going to look around and ask for any of your's help in assisting me with the formetioned problem.

Until then...aye.

I had that problem myself when I registered on the weekend. Have you tried saving your guild logo as a GIF file? I finally reduced mine to grayscale and saved as a GIF in order to get it below the 12KB limit. Don't use anything that requires clear detail or lots of color. :)

I'm not even sure where those guild logos are suppose to appear.

Actually, mine was the right size, I already fixed the problem however.

Seems its not a problem with size, but file format, their code's having aproblem with .jpg's. Changed it to gif...and it worked.
