Vantage is a gaming community that welcomes players from any competitive genre. Here we strive at being the best at any game our members play. If you have ever been discouraged because you felt your guild wasn't performing to your expectations then Vantage is for you. Our guild is run by experienced gamers, but more importantly real people. Our leaders were brought together by their love of video games and utter disgust for all those organizations that do nothing but take from their members. We are a family which bridges genres. We are the conquerors of the digital world.

Posting a bit of the backstory surrounding our guild!
The Beginning...
Among the many lands in the world, there wandered three dangerous souls, Luthane, the ranger, Shao the Sorcerer, and Adonis the Cleric. The land grew dark upon their arrival, the mention of their names made fires flutter to mere sparks. They traveled endlessly looking for a challenge, occasionally finding amusement in warriors’ attempts to defeat them, but never once did they falter. There was one who followed them from the shadows, watching in growing eagerness at their journey. The time would soon arrive for the need to meet these cruel warriors.
Ever searching something more powerful, they wandered into the icy wastelands of Agnar’s Vantage. Strange whisperings were heard upon the winds; the sweet lulling of glory; the sinister rasping of death. One evening as the sun met the mountains, a dark shadowed figure appeared to them.
“I have been watching you for a long time, my curious followers,” said the figure. The trio looked at each other sardonically.
“We follow no one, for we are stronger than all,” claimed Luthane.
“We bow to no man. It is all men who bow down to us to be slain,” boasted Shao.
“Today is a first then, for all men fall before me,” rasped the shadowed figure. “Follow me if you wish to prove your worth to one more powerful than you.”
They looked at each other, “There’s nothing else to entertain us. Let’s see what this thing has to offer us,” said Adonis. They set off following the shadowed figure. After three days traveling they reach the tallest mountain the trio had ever seen.
“The only new thing here is the size of that mountain,” Adonis said laughingly. The other two joined in his laughter as they follow the dark figure up the mountain. After days of weathering snowstorms and landfalls that would have killed lesser men, they reached the summit. Their breath was thin as they stared into the distant clouds.
“Until today, I alone have scaled this peak. While I commend you for your efforts you still have not proven yourselves to me,” rasped the shadow.
“Your opinion of our abilities means nothing, old man. We have faced countless challenges. This trek hardly taxed our strength,” boasted Luthane. “Why have you brought us to this forsaken place?”
“Forsaken? I say not. This is my Vantage over the world. From here I observe man’s futile struggle to live, knowing always that man will fall to my kingdom. I am Agnar, God of Death. I have watched the three of you for some time. Your actions please me. Death follows you as a plague on this earth. Your ability to survive even the most dangerous situations peeks my curiosity. So I have brought you here, to test your willingness to take the last challenge of your lives. This challenge will prove your worth to me. If you do this thing I shall bestow upon you my blessing.”
The trio exchanged looks. “What is this all mighty challenge you claim to offer us?” inquired Adonis.
“To stare death in the face and accept its grasp,” replies Agnar.
“What good is it to die? How can there be a reward in death?” Shao asks angrily.
“Do not question me mortal. I am the god of death, do you not think I can retrieve your pathetic soul from my kingdom?” flared Agnar.
“Fine, almighty master of death,” says Luthane sarcastically,” What is it you wish us to do?”
“Jump.” He says as he points off the cliff.
The three men walk to the edge of the cliff. The bottom of the world has fallen away beneath the clouds. A heavy wind blows up into their face as they look down into the abyss. “What trickery is this? We jump to our deaths? Where is the challenge in that?” asks Adonis annoyed.
“We are not cowards to jump to our deaths!” exclaims Luthane. “How does jumping off a cliff demonstrate our power, or fortitude?”
“You misunderstand. This is not a test of power or fortitude, but of desire. If you do this thing for me, glory shall be yours,” said Agnar.
“Why would such as we desire glory? We have already proven our own worth. Do you think we value the thoughts of other men?” sneers Shao.
“But do you not value the terror men feel upon the uttering of your names? Do you not relish in the loathing you create in those you pass?”
“Now you speak our language. But what do you offer us, that we have not acquired for ourselves?” inquires Luthane.
“What I offer is choice. You will die regardless, whether you choose to die at the bottom of the world and accept my will, or die an unremarkable death here on the top of this Vantage.”
The trio looks at each other again and at the edge.
“We are not ones to shy away from the thought of death. Why should we shy away from this? If this acclaimed god so ravenously preaches of his power, than who are we to disagree?” says Luthane.
“There is nothing left in these lands for us to be challenged by. Why not accept this old fool’s word, and claim the “blessings” of a god,” comments Adonis.
“This world was weak for us anyway. If what this man says is true, we can attain the ability to spread fear throughout this weak land,” mentions Luthane.
“Guess it’s decided then,” says Shao as they walk up to the edge.
“This pathetic world shall know none greater...,” says Adonis as they lean over the edge and jump. The wind tears at them as they fall. Not a one of them uttering a thing but to laugh in the face of their doom. The mountain face falls beside them in crimson as the sun lights their fall. Moments later, they near the bottom. “Here we go my brothers of destruction. Nothing shall sway our might,” yells Shao over the rushing wind.
As the sun sets on the third day after the falling, the three men awoke to find themselves upon a cold marble floor. Groggily they begin to stand and look around. Burning torches adorn columns inside of a thrown room. The room opens onto balconies looking out into the world. Snowfall has left small piles around the pillars at each entrance. As they become conscious of the fact that they live, a shadow falls over them.
“Welcome, my disciples. This is the reward for your commitment to death,” says Agnar as he waves his hands around the room. He walks over to the nearest door looking out to the world. “I have made this castle for you upon this Vantage of mine to be your refuge from the world, for times are changing. Others are rising to give challenge to your strength. It is your job to show the world my might and will. Slaughter your enemies!” exclaims Agnar. A shroud of dark silky mist floats in the middle of the room. “You are my disciples. This shroud shows proof of your worth. Strike fear into the hearts of those that appose my teachings!” Thus did the men of Vantage, stare out unto the world, and smile upon their fates, for they had defeated all challenges, and would destroy all others who tried to face them.
Years have passed and the original three met their final end, but their will and their strength will not falter, for they have trained more defiant souls to follow in their stead. The members of Vantage have grown in numbers and are preparing to face the oncoming tide. War is brewing on the horizon, and all of them watch eagerly from their window unto the world and continually hone their skills. When the time comes, the world shall tremble, for the embodiment of death shall walk the land, and these times will echo through antiquity by the actions of Vantage.
...and this is only the beginning....
