Once, a truly pure hearted innocent boy lived life day to day loving everything of his surroundings. Everything to him in life that he sees and hears is the most precious treasure. Life is everywhere and is to be adorned by his thoughts. And each day he would spend hours on end down by the lake in the woods. He would just stare at how beautiful the sun would glimmer across the still water giving an amazing mirrored effect. And staring off into the distance, far across the lake wondering, is someone looking back at him or is he all alone to share this amazing moment each day. When the sun started to dim and fall just below the canopy of the trees, he would walk home and stop at a tree he planted when he was just young boy. He would thank the tree for everything he has to see and all the amazing sounds he gets to hear.
As the sky just started to turn a bland orange he would then leave the woods and head to his house for a nice dinner. And after dinner he would head to his bedroom and go to sleep and dream about the next beautiful morning. He never stayed up late enough to ever catch a glimmer from a star.
The next morning came, but it wasn't bright and shiny as he had dreamed. It was damp and foggy with rain and thunder. But life comes from water, so he took his coat and went off into the woods. The woods was very dark from the wet leaves draping over the the usual sunlit gaps making day seem as night. He got down to the lake where it was open and as much light as there was would be able to light up the woods across the lake. The lake was not calm and the waters were broken from each rain drop and very choppy. And as he looked across the lake to where he always has, he then realized he wasn't alone, as he saw a few shady figures moving about through the brush. They were heading in his path as they were walking the waters edge towards him. He gets scared for he has not seen anyone from across the lake before. But he is also very curious as to who these people are....
