The rain became heavier and visibility became poor. Black clouds rolled in with lightning striking viciously. The boy decided to head back to home before it became too dark to see. But that time had come, for he had never been in the woods in the dark and he only knew of landmarks to guide him home. When he got into the canopy area, it was dark as black with horrible noises in every direction. The sound of rain hitting the fallen leaves and bushes sounded like an endless batter of agony. And the lightning strikes that came only lit up the area so briefly for a fraction of a second giving enough light to see horrifying shadow images. But when one lightning strike struck, he saw movement, and knew instantly that what he saw was going to cause harm. Because anything to stay out in those weather conditions and moving freely in the pitch of black must be of no good. Too frightened to move in any direction for he may be caught, he lies down and covers himself with forage.
The next morning came, and the sun was shining as bright as ever. The boy got up and knew exactly where he lay. He walked to his tree to thank the tree for protecting him on that horrible night, but when he got to the tree, it was struck by lightning and no longer stood. So upset, he ran home as fast as he could. When he got home and entered the house, he saw everything torn apart. He took some steps into the living area and saw red stains on the ground and knew he could not walk any further. He yelled for his mother and father, but no answers. As beautiful as life is it was taken so easily. The sun was no longer good because it showed him a bad site. The sounds were no longer good because he can now hear pain....
