Now this tale has been past down for many decades, and it is likely some parts of this are not true, but then again thats what makes a story a legend, a legend a fable, a fable a myth. So lets see, how did my mother say it....
There were rumoured to be creatures, living away in trees and forests. They were said to be older than time itself, and legend had it they had the powerfullest magic of all creatures, entrusted to them by the Gods themselves. Now no one knew the name of these magical creatures, so people started calling them fables, but somehow whenever people set out to search for these marvellous beings they would use their powers to teleport away. They were wary of every one else, so they were nicknamed fablewarys. Over time this was shortened to fablerys, then eventually fairys. Fairys never forgot their true name, but the mere mention of it by a fairy will destroy the world and 2 moons we all adore (a curse, set upon them by an evil god who was jealous of the magic entrusted to them, magic he himself could never hope to have) , so they decided to call themselves that instead.
LONG LIVE FAIRYS!!!! (or is it spelt fairies.......)
