Knights of Ares is a new guild of old friends. We all come from Star Wars Galaxies. As most of us are Jedi Knights and our city is Ares it is shown in our guild name. We hope to find new friends and new adventures in Ganereth.

u know one other possibility .....
The devs have been very clear about the Dark and Light not being necessarily "Good" and "Evil" and if you look in to the different Gods we see there is a "Lawful Dark" and a "Chaotic Dark" as well as a "Lawful Good" and "Chaotic Good"
Perhaps one of these alignments could suit as a compromise.

I'll also bring up the point that the players interested in PVP tend to usually align themselves with the darker or more evil side of the opposing pair.
Personally, I perfer more targets than friends. I make weapons for a reason!

to whoevers takes care of the teamspeak and clan website, if you want to give it its own personal domain belguim is giving away free .be domains. i'm not sure what services their dns provides such as pointers and whatnot, but i do know you're able to transfer the domain to any other dns provider to get servicing for what other options you need. i use zoneedit for example.

also, how are the teamspeak and website being hosted, i think i have some extra cycles on a server i could set shit up on located in toronto, ontario. but, i'd have to first check with my buddy who handles colocated our colocated servers to see if theres enough idle cycles to donate. :)
We curently have a TS set up with at least 3 others as back ups , but hey never hurts to have a 4th hehe and I sent you the link to the BOSS forums , they are running great !!!
For the most part our Fearless leader runs them all. which is a headache and I'm glad he is incharge of those lol
The Knights of Ares forums , while at least are up , are not done yet, as alot of ppl are still in SWG and hense use those more , but when the BOSS forums started they looked alot like the New Knights of Ares server , but it will be fixed. Its just to dark and dreary atm lol

I know I know.. i gotta atrch up on a whackload of reading.. im still getting used to these forums....
But the lawful good, chaotic alingments for example are all from dnd style games.... neutral good would also imply, not necisarily.. but meaning good most of the time, evil only some of it :)

a link to read if your confused about the definition of each various alignment. a lot of your characters essence is actually foretold by your alignment, technically via traditional meaning. im sure no one is actually going to rp to this exact a definition, but it gives a very clear definition nonetheless.

within this system, your alignment is actually a description of your property across two scales: the concern for social structure, law and order and the concern for life. neutral should not be taken as ignorant or indifferent moreso as unbiased, fair or as to work toward balance (druid/circle of life).
Lawful Good - Ned Flanders.
Neutral Good - Bleeding Gums Murphy.
Chaotic Good - Bart.
Lawful Neutral - Principle Skinner.
True Neutral - Kent Brockman.
Chaotic Neutral - Nelson.
Lawful Evil - Mayor Quimby.
Neutral Evil - Mr. Burns.

the dark elf skin tone ranges from purple to pink. IMO the classes for Dark are better suited for combat. That is why I want to go Dark. Also from the numbers I am hearing about, all of the wanted teams are declaring Dark, but are planning to stay on a "wanted" status. I would be surprised if the numbers are not to far from even.

How are our linguistic skills as a guild?
-We have English down (enter grammar joke here)
-Any of you Canadian or Northern U.S.'ers proficient in French?
-I can communicate in Spanish well enough to get by and I believe Strych is decent as well. Anyone else habla espanol?
- Any other languages known by anyone here? (btw 1337 speak does not count)
Looking at the sheer number of Spanish, French, and German speaking guilds, it may not be a bad idea to think about this.

But they where the first to tell me of their dislike for americans. while im not saying that the people here will feel that way. Think Edroe speaks spanish, probably alot do. opening up our guild to everyone is kewl, as long as we take no wookies im happy lol, but keep in mind , if you have the oppertunity to be in a guild where everyone speaks the same language, wouldnt you choose that guild? I was not stating the need to be a multi-lingual guild, rather to have some people with the ability to communicate with some other guilds. For example, calling upon some Spanish Guilds in a moment of need. Not to mention when I browsed through the Guild Pages, at least half of the other Light Guilds had another language as their primary usage.
ahhh hehe going off of 2 hrs sleep lol sry, but good you bring this up, now we can find out.

Hello. I am from the Knights of Sovereignty and I hear there is some talk of joining together. I too played SWG but on Bria but wasn't in to it like Gaelseric. I continue to play EQ2 but l am looking forward to a new world, a new adventure.

Always nice to have other guilds pop in. In looking into your forums and thread, I wasnt able to see which way your guild was going, Dark or Light.
As of now, we have about 20 confermed coming to the game, 70+ in numbers in SWG and sure more will come as we are seeing less and less log in with the NGE. Do you have an estamate of how many you think will come to DnL in your Guild? At any rate thanks for introducing yourself and hope to chat more with you about it.

i just made the uber trando! 418-843, booyah mf'rs! better than other trandos currently listed and selling for 20mil .. lol. i sold off my entire stock of components, enhancers, resources, tools, ws clothes 3-4 days before the crafting system was turned into the most linear, simplistic process that they could of while still resembling the old system. yet, in 2 hours accomplishing a matter of recollecting resources for a full run of alrs, jawa ions, e11m2s, elites, laser carbs, republic blasters, fwg5s, and thermal detonators and laying the 20 facts i need to run everything i've got the trando just listed, thermal gnades at 1240-1420, alrs at 379-359, etc, better than anything converted or crafted of each its own type. :P
btw: for those still playing swg, your respec'd jedi can hit up inji/injekt and ill give ya the pearls ya need to go. i've looted about 150 in the last 2-3 days.

hey, im interested in joining up with you guys in DnL, im from eclipse, some of you may have seen my name running around, but most likely not, haha. and being that you guys are Light, and were also in SWG, i luckily shouldnt be on that bad side since i mainly hunted Imperials like ago in BH-dom.

I was guild leader of DoA for a while till there was no one left but 4 people. Joined FoTS several months ago. Name Ro'esq, Master CH/Pistolier. also my hubby is in Fots ,Ti'ha. Havent played SWG since they killed Ro'esq, (took out CH). Not sure if im going to respec her or just wait till they put in the 2nd char slot and start a Spy. Ti'ha still plays as a commando.
Dont know if you know trentus, but he is from FoTs and is in our guild too, and I cant remember who the other one is but Im sure they will let ya know lol. great having you and if your husband ever wants to play we will welcome him also :)

Ya think! lol, I just had a look at the guilds section, and like 90% are dark hehe.

LOL yes its a bit lopsided on the forums but then some of these guilds signed up years ago, and from the polls on the forums it showes it as about 60/40 for dark but at any rate it will be fun to take over the planet with those odds lol

I was one (well two :shhh: ) of the 10k that got lucky yesterday at 18:00 so I'll be with you on the first day treading the ground on Ganareth.
A little info about myself:
Been playing SWG for 1½ on Eclipse, IGN Algeroth Cloudkill/Nazgeroth Cloudkill as one of the leaders in DEATH, some of you may know me, some may not.
I'm 25 year old guy named Marc from Sweden so if we ever are to use ventrilo or teamspeak you all know why I have a funny accent ;)

I made a minor flame in a post, which was meant as jest, the guy was beeing an asshat so deserved it anyway, but he decided to lash out with a very nasty PM, which is IMO not called for. Flamefests should be left in the public forums and not fall to sending nasty PM's
But I cannot find an option to report this person, any idea's?
