it aint SWG true but tbh DarkR outgrew me in the end i felt like a stranger regardless of the events that made me leave i hold nothing against any of the people that know they are cool with me il leave it at that :p , i wanna join / start a new guild to get that n00b experience again make some more freinds if we can have more than one t00n im sure i can be persuaded to join u motley lot as long as i dont have to share guildchat with any of the inbreds that i met in the last few weeks of my time with DarkR let me know who is coming to DnL from SWG and ill let you know draig :dance: :whistle: :think: :boohoo: :amour:

So far Agi, it is most of the longer term members of DarkR.
We aren't gonna be big by any stretch of the imagination. I think we could cap our number or something so that we always have active players only (and ones we can trust as this is a PVP game).
What do people reckon?

I have been thinking about leadership issues and have thought this.
How about a guild of equals (and I mean equals).

We al get all the leadership priveliges and planning permission, recruitment etc. (going on SWG template) whatever mess is made will be all our own doing!!

For this though we need to keep the guild smallish and friendly to avoid any problems.

Do people like this idea or think we need a leader?

People can then only be ejected/punished on a unanimous decision. This allows us to take chances as this is only BETA remember.

my advice is keep it small , hardcore and skilled and tbh if you are keeping it small (under 10 members) there may be no need for a leader but if you go above 10-20 have an elected leader voted for by the amassed members if the guild grows bigger then you need elders then really there should not be any problems

Wi'ihr here. I'm already in a guild (that is, we are waiting for the guild script to actually create our clans page) with some real life friends that I have been in guilds with in various MMO's over the years, and we're going dark.

Hope you guys are going dark too, would be nice to set up an alliance with some guild mates from SWG! ;)

About the leadership, I think it would be the best to go the way Agi suggested. 10-20 members: equals, 20+ maybe a council/elders that would decide the important stuff? Although I think there always has to be a guild leader "on the paper" but I guess he should have just the same rights as the equals or the council.

I'm already guilded with some mates, but it would be great fun to set up an alignment between Mercs of Darkness and Darkness Reavers, so that I can still go on raids with you guys...but that's probably not going to happen (wouldn't make much sense, faction wise) if you guys go Light. :(
