Legend writing competition

For all you RP'ers posting on this Forum. There is a competition being run by Twill on the Guilds of Ganareth site. http://guildsofganareth.com/

Every Quest must have a Legend to base it upon. Excalibur had Camelot, The Holy Grail had...well, the Holy Grail, Frodo had "The Hobbit." Most are passed on by word of mouth, most are merely shrugged off as a bedtime story. But all Legends are based upon some truth, and it is the search for that truth which leads people to glory, or their destruction.

Tell the world your Legend, be it in story, poem, song or rhyme. Tell them poems of great kings of old, songs of great heros and their magical weapons, sotries of a dragons vast treasure troves. Be as fantastical as you desire, be as creative as you can.

There will be no one winner, but Eg0 has offered to turn the best into actual ingame quests. So, here is your chance to be famous.

Deadline for submission is Friday the 20th of June. So get writing and I hope I'll be reading your legend soon.

Reminder

The competiton ends on Friday the 27th of June. Twill has to date only had 3 submissions.

Now I could be upset by the apparent laziness of all the RP writers here (considering there are so many good ones but only 3 submissions). But I'm not going to.

Instead I'm just asking you to have a go at writing an entry. You know you can find the time and you'll feel better afterwards. :)

Dear Finora, during my long existence I have seen things most mortals only dream about. I do not need to read about legends because I have lived and walked alongside legends when most mortal storytellers were not even conceived. The legends written down never accurately describe the events as they actually took place. They twist and turn the words to suit their own schemes. Or they do not reflect reality at all, fairytales for grown children.

Legends are not born from words but from action.

Hmm, i don't have any problems with thinking out quests and legends... i just have a BIG difficulty putting it down on paper... it never becomes what i want it to become :/
