Well i only had one account but i know how you feel..
i have been in swg since it got out and DAM im hate what they have done to it they totaly destroyed it..... well im waiting for DnL to go live the 8th dec

Well i did it. I canceled my 2 acounts. /cry. I had so much hope, so much time put into swg. Now it is over. My wife is going to bed crankey, she misses our guild. Our friends, Our Family, are all separated. This feels like a breakup with a girlfriend/boyfriend. I know you all can relate...

what are you all doing to cope till the 8th?

I'm mostly posting here & getting to know my new family. I'm also reading up everythign I can aboutthisnew world I'm abotu to enter so I canbe as prepared as posible.

Don't be so bummed out about it. You can always resubscribe and have everything you left with excluding anything that may run out of maintenance during your absence. As stated above, spend the next week researching the game and surfing the boards. SWG is so boring anymore anyway. I spent today doing a lvl 22 mission just because there was nothing else to do and killing noob bosses is fun.

I cancelled one of 3 toons, second one is sooon, just trying to hold out, but ehhhh i think the end has come for SWG:(

I'm going to uninstall SWG today. That won't hurt as much as killing Keyan did though. Can't wait to resurrect him in DnL! I'm just sad that I missed out on the preorder... Just wasn't in the budget for this month. :(

I cancelled one and the other will follow as soon as I gather the strength to go in and open up my houses for the guild leader to take what they need. Damn it will hurt to kill Elandriel - feels almost like a friend in some weird kind of way. :(

Yea, and I was dumb enough to forget to delete my toons before I uninstalled, so i've condemned them to exist in SOEs crappy database for the rest of its existance(or at least until they fuck it up and purge it by accident)

Maybe they can haunt it and introduce some interresting exploits?
If my toons were haunting the place, it's more likely what would happen is that people would suddenly find that trying to talk in group would go into spatial, or guild chat or something.

Its is a sad time to close a chapter on something that was a big part of one's life but again its really the people that makes a game what it is.
So as long as you can drag some close friends along then it wouldn't be all that bad.
Unfortunately I haven't dragged as many people as I would like to this game. Most of the people in this guild (I) know just from the forums, but I've only got Keyan and Sid in this game from my old guild (which makes me a sad panda, since I had well over 30 real good friends in <-I->)

only me and Dezi from <FuBaR> but im still exited about DnL. look at it as a way to make new friends. im very exited about the fact that i will be playing with former "enemies"

Oh I'm excited about making new friends, and I have heard of most everybody in the guild through reputation at least, there are just a lot of people I will still miss that I can't get a hold of or can't talk into joining DnL.

same. tere are a few kick-ass people that would be a perfect fit for Fallen. but i just cant get them to join... :hothead:

A good number of people are playing wow atm, including Akema and Marcko whom are I suppose your friends with, and Adi, Bastian, Minis, Nee, etc. etc.

I will drag them here if the game is good.

Well, in this game, Dark isn't = evil, and Light isn't = good.
Dark players could be good, and light players could be evil.

I understand this, just that in SWG I was trying to play a paladin (light side jedi) which would be considered Lawful good, which is what I think of myself in rl. The good thing about this game is that it is not rl, so I could play a chaotic good (I'm sorry for all the D&D references in a DnL forum, its the only way I know how to express these ideas) who gives the law the finger to do what he thinks is "right." Thats the only reason I had concerns about playing a "dark" side character, but I feel I have overcame these reservations.

Well, D&D referances are all well and good. I didn't play D&D too much, but an awful lot of other pen and paper RPGs swiped a lot of their ideas- mainly because they were good.

My account been in Limbo for almost 6 months, I left after the CU.
Just call me a old timer but, did'nt like CU, I came from the old cult of
Pre-Publish 9 Jedi and soon went MCH/Rifleman after CU.

Unfortunately my toons are also in SOE F&nK U up Status. With burning
harvestors still surrounding my home. Cancelled 2 accounts during CU and
2 more accounts when NGE surfaced like a bad rash.

I stayed after the CU because of my guild. I got used to it more than I enjoyed it, one of my real problems was I had changed temp fairly recently before the CU, and was just getting the hang of it... then it got fuxx0red.
