I have to congradulate you, taking this step into this new dimesnion of Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMRPGs). Your game is of great potential because you try to combine aspects of gameplaying that are really innovative.

I really like the idea of a huge terrain and the social experience aspect. This would open many possibilities to new styles of gameplaying . You would be able to define your own gameplay-style as a player through this game. I would like to ask you to make the fighting and social experience totally independent. Meaning that you would be able to progress in one of the two if desired. For exaple, someone might not want to fight at all and just be a Politician of DnL. You might even want to have a politician as a Class where you will gain political skills and so on.

A few notes just to remind you the major problems of MMRPGs:

I. Imbalances
II. Latency
III. Hacks

If you can reasonalby moderate these three problems I think that you will have the best MMRPG of 2003-2004.

I am looking forward to the Beta-Test and the hardware specifications.

Thank you for your time,

Brandon

The two different experience points are independent of each other and you can excel with either, however, there has been mention that too reach a demi-god (ex.: meet the gods) or high ranking level (ex.: Prince) you will require both, but a mastery of either one only seems to be an intention of the developers.

The two are not actually fully independant of eachother.

when you gain a "level" in one you gain two points in it and one in the other. That is to say when you gain a social level you get 2 sXp points and 1 fXp point. which means that even if you focus entirely on sXp you will not be a limp and useless fighter, although only ever potentially half as good as any fighter. and the same applies to fXp.

However you do not NEED to do one to gain in the other, they are independent in that respect.

Neo, I would moderate the "gay" out of your post if I had the power, you should know better than to use a term like that in a derogatory manner. shame on you.

Welcome to the community :)

Good selection of problems, there!

Or... did I misread something?!

Cows what are these cows you talk about. I only see Dodos around here. Yes I agree with you we need more Dodos.
As for GM abuse if its anything like real life you would be suprised with what they put up with. Alehim remembers the good old days when he casted magic missle down a dark cooridor. Made the GM tell how far it went and then followed after it making him spend another 15 min remodifying his dungon just to be sure it didnt hit anything.
