Mountains

Dear Admin.
Just a few questions from your ever-faithful member. I was wondering (after drooling over the screenshots again) Will we be able to climb mountians? :casstet: and for that matter, will we able to carve cities into the mountains? Will we able to build our own buildings? And can I name a city? ;) Thanx guys, you make the world go round(or stop the world from going around)

Sounds cool but i it could get soo confussing cos from the screenies all the moutians look the same - There has to be a boudrie sum where and i bet the mountians are it. :hallucine:

it would be nice to be able to name mountains and ridges... maybe an extra way to say 'thank you' to the beta testers..

and all names then need some kind of confirmation anyway ...

"This mountain is %$£*&"
or
"Get the %^*£ off my mountain"

but this was more kind of a thank-you to beta testers and stuff ...

no ... i think the possibility for players to create any kind of fingerprint in the virtual world out there is a good thing ehehehe

Well, beta testers will get a thank you here too, which is most likely a fortress to every tester :D

maybe use the system whereby they name stars- peer review or dev review- criteria -what is fitting, sounds good

In Shadowbane it is possible to build towns, cities and kingdoms if you have enough money to buy the houses.

Would be nice if this feature is also in DnL.

OK, so apparently everyone who posted here has neglegted to read the FAQ and dev chats, newbies, you are semi-excused but old timers (and modedrator...Ahem) shame on you! :-p

We get to name mountains, villages, landmarks etc...assuming the names are suitable. (FAQ I think)

Yes you will be able to buy houses right at the start, building/designing them yourselves will only be avaliable to HIGH level players and much later because they will have to patch the prog (Last Dev chat)

Anyhoo, there yah have it. Read the FAQ and dev chat old timers...you complain enough about newbies not doing it

Well these are much harder questions than the brain-dead ones that newbies used to ask. Cut us some slack, there's a lot of info to read up on. ;)

I thought that there was a thread back in the day where I read that we would earn the privilege of having things named after us. EX. The first one to the top of the mountain would have that peak named after them, more along the lines of a competition. Just imagine some one asking why do they call it medic peak. :::Well little Johnny its because so many people fall off:::But that was also before we knew that the fairies can just fly over the tops of the mountains. just my 2 pennies.
