Darkandlight.com public forum moderation guidelines
Web domains http://www.darkandlight.net, http://www.darkandlight.com and http://www.dnl.net, the various data available, as well at all the forums, are the property of Farlan Entertainment.
These guidelines are provided and enforced by the forum team in order to enhance and ensure the quality of this forum and the services it provides for the community.

Before asking a question, use the Search function available in order to check whether this question has already been answered or not. Don't hesitate to check the Frequently Asked Questions (http://www.darkandlight.com/forum/faq.php?faq=dnl_support): there you may find the answer you are looking for.
Messages of derogatory, threatening, obscene, vulgar, sexual or illegal nature, according to applicable laws, will not be tolerated. Nor will spamming, flaming, trolling, advertising, powerposting, bumping old topics without bringing any new elements to the discussion.
Political and religious discussions are not allowed on this board.
Racism won't be tolerated either - whatever the target is: nationality, skin color, etc.
If your message falls in one of these categories, it will be moderated.
If you think one of the forum posts goes against the forum guidelines, please take the time to contact its author using a private message in order to state you point of view and to ask him or her to kindlt edit his or her contribution. If this is impossible, or if the member refuses to edit the post, please contact the moderation team using the "Report a message" button, in the upper-right corner of each message. This will initiate an alert, and a moderator will deal with the problem as soon as possible.
Likewise, if you think you are personally attacked or belittled, try to solve the problem with the author of the attack. Then again, if this cannot be solved this way, please contact the forum moderation team. If this problem involves a moderator directly, please contact the community representative for your language.
Such attacks do not give you the right to infringe the present rules if you decide to answer publicly.

The official Dark and Light forum is run by a moderation team with the following structure:
Administrators make sure the forums are working and technically up to date.
Representatives from NP3, Farlan Entertainment and Alchemic Dream Inc. are in charge of the forum as a whole.
Community representatives manage every forum section according to the language community they are in charge of.
Moderators enforce the rules and guidelines described here, within the sections they are in charge of.

Moderators can edit, delete, move, merge, split or lock your threads and posts without your prior agreement. Every moderation action will be justified by a message in the topic, or in private, to the member who got his or her contribution moderated.
Moderation matters are not to be discussed in public. If you have criticisms or comments regarding moderation, do not hesitate to contact the moderator for an explanation. If afterwards you still think a moderation error or abuse has been made, please contact the community representative for your language, using private messages.
If you break the present rules, moderators may send you a warning. Upon receivng the second warning, you may be temporarily banned from Dark and Light forums.
Any ban evasion will lead to the permanent ban of the first account, and subsequent accounts used to evade the ban.
:dnl: Avatars and signatures
This forum configuration allows every forum member to set an avatar as well as a signature in their user profile. Texts and image files are also ruled by the current guidelines. Every infringement will lead to the avatar or signature removal. A private message will be sent in order to notify the removal and reasons for it.
The maximum size for signature is 150 pixels high and 600 pixels width. Lines of text in a signature count as 15 pixels each. Furthermore, the forum script restrict the use of a signature to once per thread.
100k is the maximum (even Lesser signature wich is wonderful is under 100k)
You may not use the graphical designs (including its layout) and signatures used by the forum team without prior authorization.
