When looking around the languages i saw an article existing only in the french Gazette. Its called ,,Une ville en otage''. Is this article not going to be posted is it not translated yet?

I think they are the "local" event of the various community so Italian AD do some events for Italian, Spanish AD for Spanish community and so on.... and I think they'll posted only on the "language" community... The main story article are instead translated on all the languages...

nah, i was on a event (http://www.darkandlight.net/forums/showthread.php?t=53065) which one is on the Italian and on the French gazette, but im from Hungary :) just a single player was there whos nationality was not known to me, all of the others were known to me :)
i guess we just give them a time for the translation ;)

edit: and i think if an event is just for a nationality we should know about it (in gazette), because its in Ganareth. so everyone affected ;)

3 mini-events happened since last monday for the english side.

The "Hostage town" event is currently getting translated - Ekre is the player involved :)

And yes, mini-events are different between each community...

is there any order or timing for these mini-events? or do we just have to get lucky and stumble upon one?

that's the way it should work - if there are enough mini-events so that everybody has a fair chance to see one (don't forget the mighty command /ShowWinEvents ;) ).

I personally LOVE the fact that it feels much more like real adventuring when I stumble upon such an adventure. That's immersion!
I certainly don't want to get everything presented on a silver plate.

Hell, we're adventurers. So it should be obvious to go out and seek the adventure.

No other RPG I played held so many events IN BETA.

what i didnt understand is why the Event channel on the Ostara bridge event was in French and not in English. it is global event channel which supposed to be english.

I don't think they should be scheduled. As has already been said, it makes for a more immersive universe if these things aren't planned to death.

Fair enough some kind of timing is needed for large-scale events, but mini-events should be more off-the-cuff IMO and I think it's great that it's happening. Most MMO's schedule everything and it leads to people moaning about delays when it doesn't go off on time, or moaning that it was scheduled when they were in bed, and then you get the inevitable "it was all planned for XXXX country and we don't get anything" etc.
