I hope DnL plan to have a Offline demo like Neocron (http://www.neocron.com/) has done. The demo is a tutorial on gameplay. This is a good thing because then you can learn the ropes in controlling you character without ppl yelling "nOOb!" at you, or worse causing a team mate to die because you dont know how to cast a vital spell...
Also it gives you more out of your free 7day trial (if they end up having one).
Just an idea.

On a game thats base on 1 server? How would you show what the community is like in a offline demo?
SWG did the social aspect of the game the best. You had to get training from other people and all that stuff.
Community plays a big part in my MMORPG exp, and an offline demo would make me bored.
Not that its a bad idea, but everyone just in game will be a "noob". And if the group gets mad because your a low level (most probably like them) just learning the ropes, then they need to lighten up, everyone has to learn.
you people do realise this thread is from 2003 and was bumped by Qwertycow
