Well they ll probably use prefix and suffix for people that own forteresses etc ...
As for the Rank i think it should mainly be based on ability but lets face it experience and skill often goes with rank . It would be cool mybe to diferentiate the Higer levels and lower by making groups inside the different guild structures without affecting rank .
For example one of the division is The ethereal Blades . well why not divide it in several groups such as : The ethereal Blades Elite , The ethereal Blades Youth etc .. The rank wouldn t be affected ... Do u see my point ?

Your bring up a good point, when we get more members maybe we can try it out, basically the "Elites" will be made up of the Veterans and Soldiers, but I will probably appoint one Captain per group so that the Guild command can get updates from on person, etc

that is gonna be a hella lot of promoting and more of that... I think... no i KNOW it is better to use not to much ranks. More something like what is on the site already. The more ranks you have, the more peeps u need to fill em'
And the rank should be based on effectiveness.
No wait, ive got a better idea. The Guildmaster has some ranks in mind, and everyone has a different task and will get a specific rank for that. That will make it more clear who does what

Puerum what i suggested isnt complicated at all , it doesnt add any new ranks , the ranks would still be the same as described in the rank system of the site . It would just regroup people of the same level so basically when u reach a certain level you get into "Elites or veterans or whatever name it will have . This would enable better organization concerning PvP, quests etc...
Well first off we should try deciding how many levels there will and inner circle. i mean there has to be an inner circleor the main part of the guild and then we can branch out or we can keep it that you have A guild Leader/Master then below that right hand man and left hand man then lt, or cor or colonel. each of the lower people can administer to a mass o people and the gu8ildmaster can admister to the inner circle where as the inner circle provides input and ideas. Kinda like this

Mene check out the Guild site and look at the "Guild Rank" section. It shows the chain of command.
Sorry... I will
i really like what you've done with the rank names and positions.

Everybody is right. I will leave the forums for awhile, cuz me got some shit to do on my guitar (making it more heavy metally like) Cya
I'm not in this guild (well I'm not in any guild) and I don't wanna interupt your guild, but as I was reading this post I feeled quite stunned since basic idea of your rank system is good but you are giving promotions with totally wrong arguments. Antatean as a guild leader you must understand this. Don't give ranks by level or ability, give ranks by skill of playing game and detication to the guild. You really don't need officers that drives their own advantange when they should stand for the guild. Thats just my opinion.. Anyways your guild has always friend somewhere in the shadows with hís long bow..

Just my thought on this.
The basis for any type of organized structure will be the placement and or promotions of the inner circle counsel.
The inner circle counsel could be made up of the Division Captains ( according to guild rank/ division organization).
The inner Circle would be made up of an odd number of seats. to avoid ties on recomendations for promotions.
The inner circle counsel would be headed by the Guildmasters 2nd in command, but overall authority and responsibility to ensure the counsel is maintaining its functions is that of the Guildmaster.
Promotions should be made according to ingame skill but with a importance on guild and overall assistance and or guidance given to others not only within the guild but those within the community.
Basicaly a recomendation would be given by the guildmembers Captain in the division he/she is with based on his ingame skill and his ability to promote and encourage participation within the guild as well as helping others.
Stepping up to lead when the time comes to assist a quest or dungeon crawl and having the knack of commincating to others.
These type of traits not only provide the guild with efficiant leaders but also ensures our guild maintains a reputaion as not only the best, but one that others can depend on.
I may be a bit off whack here on the question asked, but it got the brain housing group a rolling ;)
