Character Appearance?

I was wondering if your character look will change with the lvls you gain?
I remember one RPG called Evil Islands, where your character got more and more muscles per lvl up. I can imagine that this would be great for this game. If its true what they write about the graphic engine it should be possible.

Just imagine a lvl 50 warrior flexes his muscles infront of a lvl 5 wizard, he/she would run away like a coward.

Oh and btw. I hope they include TONS of animated emotes. I love to fool around with emotes and socialize with them. Its a MUST.

i remember from quite a while ago each race was going to have one body size to keep things quick and simple. there was going to be a lot of customization to features and what-not, but to keep things as smooth as possible only a few body sizes. may have changed by now though...

they dont do this for the same reasons they dont have 1000 different character customization features. when people have all their gear and such, they look different enough so that just having 50 options of customization makes it alot less laggier to load in each characters personal features. it will just be a combination as opposed to a complex combination with variables and tons of stuff going on. i love the idea and its been done in "Fable", scars, skin tone through sun exposure, muscles through strength, etc.

i say it will be 5 years before this kind of stuff can be fully implimented into MMOs of this size.

edit: they also said they didnt do many different body types and sizes because u have to model every armor around it, or u start getting clipping in the armor and body.

Yea, keep it simple. I don't like it when a character with long hair has it sticking out of his/her helmet...literally.

pets in WoW got bigger 1% every lvl, and pets in SWG got bigger as they got stronger. and when i played earth and beyond back in the day. u would get a slightly cooler or different hull design on ur ship like every 10 or 20 lvls, it was exciting to get ur cool new ship hull.

I was gonna quote the FAQ but the link seems to be dead now. It was stated that body size and muscle mass were not going to be customizable and it implied everyone was going to have a generic body frame, only because it was not really that visable in the game. I mean, with all the mad scenery in there, who's going to miss it? Not sure i will, but i don't want my boobs to be oversized!!!
