Hjelgan, normal people dont need Pizza or Fast Food to survive. I dont think that human would starve without fast food or similar.

maybe a cheeaper option of a once of payment of say 50 bucks US might be better
its hard thinkign US dollars here
thats about same price as normal games that come out
plus you might be able to order a cd
i hate pay to play monthly payments it makes games cost much more than if you buy them on the shelf (im talking eg half life unreal etc, plus if you liek to play for a few years)

The reason u have a monthly fee is that there actually is ppl working to make u satisfyed. GM's which make quests, staff which solve problems/bugs. Crew that works on updates/translations. It wouldn't go around if it wheren't based on a monthly payment system.

Whatever is normal to u might not be to someone else. What I was saying was that even with a weekly payment of let's say $5 USD, u can, if u household, be able to pay the monthly fee. Didn't say anything about human starving without fast food.

I'm not promoting going to the the other site but I'm looking at joining two MMORPG's.. This one and another called PlaneShift ( www.planeshift.it ) If your worried about cost I recommend you look at it becasue it's open source so it's completely free.

I have accidentally double posted a couple of times - lucky we have that delete option.
I don't know how they do it - but Runescape has p2p servers and free servers. Members have more play options so they choose to pay. Those who cant afford to don't pay. It isn't the greatest game ever out but it's really nice to have those two options.
I give my vote for payment for two reasons, we get more motivated developers, game masters, etc.. and tehre will be less 10 year old teenagers because the fact that entertaiment will cost money will reduse them.

good ideas,
i vote is payment we go credit card style, but not one acount percredit card, since my family is kinda poor and all of us (including my mum) are gamers. Pretty funky huh?
as long as it isnt toooooo expensive

Yea, well, here's my opinion,
We'll probably have to pay for the game (otherwise the developers would'nt get paid ;) ) but i also think that those who participate activly in finding bugs and errors and such things during the beta should at least get some kind of discount on the game (like if a normal player pays 20$ a month an active beta tester would pay 10$ a month. Or another thing i've been thinking about. Many other MORPG's have GMs (Game masters). The GMs job usually contains helping newbies (hate that word) by answering questions, arrange events to make the game more fun and such things. Well if anyone here would become a GM in DnL then would'nt it be fair if he got to play for free? I mean since he is a GM he helps out a lot with many things so he should get paid in some way...
well... thats my 2 cents... even tho this post looks like a dollar ;)
GM's should always be company peps if u ask me got very bad experiences with player GM's from other games.
To help the news they could adopt an Advisor program :D, advisors is players who's sole purposs while on their advisor char is to help and guide other players :D

Well, when i say GM, then i mean a person that ONLY fix up events and give help (not bug help but normal "what-does-this-button-do" help). So the GMs have no more power than the normal player. The bugfix GMs should always be company ppls.
Btw, what happened to the rest of ur quote, "u Looking at my tail ? :| look at my face instead maby u'll get a KISS"
I liked that one :)
I don;t know about the free thing.. But i suggest that players allowed to have 10 hours free game time for a trial or they can be allowed to have very limited account. By limited accounts I mean being allowed to play but not being allowed to save their charters fxp r sxp. Anyone find sumthing wrong wit this? Lets discuss.

For the fee, it will surely reach the usual amount applied by other mmorpg, nerly 10€/$.
In order to thanks the beta testers for the release, maybee the ability to play the day 1 at the first open hour will be fine.
And for GM, i join Catz opinion, if this game reach the succes it deserve (and i hope it will), they will be a lot of people needing help (and even if DnL is bug-free) and it's there that skilled GM are wanted to offer the support these player expect.
