View Full Version : E.G.G. Announces New Structure and Membership Rules

Greetings again everyone,

I presented a letter to the community here a little over a week ago, in which I tried to address several issues that E.G.G. was facing and working to resolve. I thought it would be best to go ahead and provide an update for those that were concerned, and have continued to lodge complaints and raise issues as I requested.

As of last night, E.G.G. final re-organization structure and membership rules went into effect. These rules impose strict punishments to our members that participate in using exploits, griefing, and overall harassment towards the community. Additionally, we have created a new forum to give the community an avenue to more easily report issues that they may face with our membership.

Another major concern we have tackled recently is the leaderships ability to keep track of our membership, as well as the flow of new members we receive each week. Our new organization, which can be read at the link below, promotes this idea through direct chains of command and a complete reversal in our recruitment policy. All recruitment is now channeled through in-game "guild events", where interested new members can only be confirmed after participating in said event. This will be used until such time where guild quests may be implemented.

I'm trying to keep this short, so as not to bore everyone... :)

Our recruitment events will be open to all dark guilds who are interested in having some group fun, and the first couple will be announced in this forum and on our webspace(since they are open events).

After my last post, I think the general feeling was "wait and see if this really changes anything", and our members feel that a good change is in the works. We are hoping that the rest of the community, and future interested members of course, feel the same,

Esper

Congratulations egg, that s a positive move.

Now let s see ingame if this will change anything regarding some of your members attitude.

At least you spend some energy to make this world a more breathable environment.

It s remarkable to see that the first big guild to promote ethics is..a dark guild (the mecreants) while some light leaders (the good citizen side) prefer to use foul language and childish quiting vain threats.

well, publicity is publicity, whether it was brought on by negative events or not ;) cant deny that, I suppose

but really just wanted to make sure that people knew that I wasn't just talking out of my .. the last post, and that IKShadow and E.G.G. were actually doing something as they promised. If it gets us more membership - great! That would actually be a nice change, especially since membership would have to actually go through our screening etc..

thanks for the supportive comment, lakaara, its appreciated!

There is a guild forum, please use it.

The guild forum has a very low traffic, and this announcement is of general interest. It s nice to see that you can report abusers directly to the guild and that the guild is willing to deal with it, let s hope this will of transparency is not used by frustrated pvpers of the opposite side.

I think for the most part EGG is just replying to all the slams they got that were not in guild forums ...so posting there changes in here are actually correct. They are not openly recruiting anyone just letting people know things have changed in the way there guild works. If you want them to post it in the guild forums then ask everyone that bashed them in this forum to do the same.I say awesome job and hopefully it works out. Just wish that more guilds will take the same approach then it will be easier to keep exploits down if people know hardly any guilds will want them after that much less there chances of getting reported will go sky high.

Exactly! Many of the people who had complaints seem to frequent these forums primarily, so we just wanted to keep in line with that approach. Reaching them the most effective way possible seemed to be on this board.

Thanks for the comment!

All the excuses in the world don't change the fact that it's the wrong forum. Since the mods don't seem to care I'm sure folks will keep abusing though. I can only let them know that I for one don't appreciate the spam.

shouldn't this be on guilds section?

or should all guilds start to post and advertising on general like E.G.G always do.

then tell me this is not playing favourites.

No problem, so long as all threads posted by other users directed to us also make their way here, we have no problem with that. If any other threads containing our name are posted on the general forum, however, we will continue to post there.

Thanks for the support :)

Nice, move it to a blackhole where no one ever visits.

I should whine about posts more often if it only takes one person.
