first I'm sorry if I posted it in french and english :P
Hi, I looked at your game and I have the impression that is going to look alike other games and have most of the same problem
I explique myself, I played Evcerquest and to be able to get high in level you have to kill the big monster, to be able to kill those you need good weapon, but those weapon are only avaible on those monster and they cannot be bought.
Also, most of the nice stuff you need to be high level, for exemple having a horse (many skill are neeeded and time) and some continent are for high level only.
I hope the fun would not be only for the high level, because all MMO I saw are pratically same before passing a certain level. Please don't forget to make low leveling fun and not just "ack and slash" for leveling

Yeah me too... you'd have to be a moronic monkey to mess with him, because at least he is honestly trying to write proper english.
But there is a french forum too I believe.
I think DnL will be a lot different than EQ and most other MMOs we have tried so far... but lets see what SoG has to offer and then have a nice debate.

I don't know... and that scares me :(
Yes in many cases this game will be similar to alot of games. It has classes and races that has been used before. Crafting has been done before in any way possible.
The thing you should be looking on what the diffrence is.
#1. Its a huge world 1 server.
#2. Fully costomizable fortress building.
#3. Divine Intervention
#4. Wanted System
#5. Air combat (to be added)
#6. Weather system that inpact gameplay
And alot more that someone else can fill in.

give him a glasgow kiss, he'll love that.
there should be stuff reserved for high end players in-game otherwise theres no point in progressing, i want stufff to be hard to get so i can sploit it and make copious amounts of money selling it on :-)

To answer this question, the best gear is made by crafters. So as long as you have some $$ you will be able to get the good gear, as you call it. So no worries there...

No, hopefully, this game will be in the same genre as Ultima Online, if you have ever tried that...

/bow good try at english but don't feel bad most americans can't get it right neither , to the point. While you are right some games make it hard on low level characters to not only level up but also to get anything better then a wood staff , i thing this game will be different as character dovelopment seems as it will take much longer than most games. Why do i think this? *shrug* That is just what i hope for because if you ever played SWG you know that seeing so many max level characters makes getting there yourself just seem standard.

I think DnL, if it releases with the features that we've only seen on paper at the moment, will be totally different of the games we know.
On the other hand, I don't think SoG will even match the current MMO's because except travelling in a virtual world and point-and-click fighting mobs and/or players... ...I fail to see the other features that could make it different.

If you read the FAQ highlight's
It quotes that for instance a Newbie sword that you start with can be upgraded by a blacksmith to be a "brand new" sword - its not really an echance so this might be that a "good" sowrd can be upgraded to a "great" sword..
Exact words:
professions:
Can a character enhance a weapon?
If your skill is higher than the original crafter’s skill, you can enhance a weapon. There are six mastery levels, from beginner to grand master. An exceptional item crafted by a high master has higher chances to reach the top level while keeping its best qualities.
It will allow you to keep your equipment as you gain levels. Your apprentice sword will never become obsolete if you give it to a crafter who has about the same level as you, and who can make a sword that matches your own level.

I understand what you getting at and no offense dont worry because that was a load of crap MMO's have so many variables you basicly just sumed up a single player game and yes soem content for higher end game thats what your aiming for kinda wouldnt work if all content was available at all levels kinda ilogical.
