BadKittie came on here a year ago and tried to warn you not to waste your money on this game and no one listened to her so you guys can only blame yourselves. She tried to tell you the game was nothing but problems and the graphics were at a level that her 10 year old daughter could create herself. I feel bad for none of you because you didn't heed the warning of a MAJOR mmorpg player and tester. Now I come to see this game die and laughed the entire time i read everyone's posts that are whining about how sucky the game is. No one to blame but yourselves (and the devs). If you want to play games for free with graphics 100 times better than this game then PM me and I will take you out of this joke of a game.

Probally becuase we keep gttting obnoxious e-mails from Dark and Lights team even after we have have unsubscribed telling us how wonderful; the updates are now. Although these updates are the overy ones that were promised at the release of the game which dark and light knew they couldn't pull off but instead of Post poning the release again and again they decided play games with the gamers.
I for one asked The attorney general's office in New York State to look into the fraudulant billing practices of Dark and Light after they kept billing me for this piece of shit game months after I sent notification of cancelling. Dark and light provided no reasonable method for cancellation of the game, Until after thousands of un happy gamers screamed for months about the abusive customer relations policy on Dark and lights part.
I for one will look forward to the utter destruction of this company. Anyone that continues to play this piece of crap game after they duped gamers with pre-launch publicity hype about the Worlds largest game is a complete fool.

Yes, they have over-billed you after you cancelled, and destroyed your childhood dreams of becoming "Uber-figth0r-w4rr10r of the 91th legion of the dark side" in an mmorpg, but I doubt anyone really cares about that... you should be sending a mail to a consumer-rights office if you don't get you money back, and if they don't do anything, tell it to the police. You can't SUE someone for billing you. m'kay? You CAN however stop the payments by telling your bank to not pay the bill to FARLAN...mkay?

I've been having good fun this week - two events, a seige, some new armour, and a major quest that is buggy, but still fun. If your ten year old daughter could do better, I'd quite happily try out what ever it is she has to offer.

Actually the NYS attorney Generals office contacted Farlan entertainment and the Click and Buy which is the service that farlan uses for subscription collection and C & B has an office in New York City. They dicussed the matter of internet fraud. Oddly enough a few weks after that it seems farlan decided to offer people 3 months free subscriptions due to the MASSIVE COMPALINTS.
As for having the bank stop payments that was not a legal way of stopping payments. Or as for limiting C&B to 1 $ maximums on the account was also not a sure way of stopping payments. Those that did this in this manner are actually "still responsible for payments for those months becuase they did not Cancell the subscription according to Farlan Entertainment. Problem was is Farlan Did nt provide an easy way to cancell the subscription which is why I contacted the NYS Attorney Generals office. They frown on any internet Fraud which this came to ressemble.

well im back because of a fraudenlent charge i dont know about her so yeah i guess i will post
see they are taking money from my account and i am nto playing the game nore did i subscribe to it in fact when i logged in saw a whole bunch of other people with the same problem what up wid dat?
so yeah sure they are stealing our money great go play the crappy game that we didn't want to subcribe to and are nto supposed to be paying for but are being fraudulently charged for all of a sudden
i had totally forgotten about this game till i got an email saying i apparently gave them permission to do something i didn't give them permission for ...
and so did a lot of us other people so scream at the company cause us trolls are here because they want our money but we didn't authorize it because we left our click'n buy accounts open ...

Not everyone watches TV shows/movies in english or have read english more than a year or 3 in school..
Spain, France and to some extent Germany being some of the bigger countries that are like that.
None here disputes that Avefenix might not be the best english speaker on the forums as im sure he is aware of :), but Id rather have him posting on this part of the forums too than in the spanish section only, as that would mean we would all miss out on his sense of humor and screenshots :)
I for one dont judge people on how well they speak english as its not a very accurate measurement, and I can honestly say its very easy to understand what he says even if you have to switch one or two words out.
Keeping this open and un-edited as I dont think many people would agree with the statement below, also please dont take your frustration about the game or the accounting issues (as might be the case here) out on single members of the community.

Farlan entertainment and DnL is the worst online mmorpg customer service game I have ever had to deal with. Its like a case of herpes. After several months of believeing that my disputes had been finally settled with Farlan and DnL and Click bank. Yesterday I recieve an e-mail form this piece of (explitive) company. They are now saying yet again I owe them money for a game I actually have not logged into since May 2006. A game they offered no discernable way to cancel the subscription to until people screamed bloody murder on the DnL forums and at Click bank.
A gaming company that offered only auto billing as a method of payment with no way for consumers to deactivate the auto billing is trying to claim those very people owe them money when they justifiably tried to stop paying for a game after they decided to stop playing the game becuase it did not meet the product claims of the company at launch. Nor did the comapny admit the product was defective until months later when it offered players 3 months for free while Farlan scrambled to hire a bunch of Korean programmers to straighten out the entire crap. Farlan also went so far as to send out e-mails to all its previous players and announced the free months in an e-mail and on these very forums. And made empty promises of a bigger better game becuase of 40 more korean programmers were on the job...to little too late Farlan
Farlan you are a disease.... and a disgrace to the online gaming community. Personally I will never play a farlan Entertainment product ever again.

Heres what i did, REVOCED the rights from Farlan on my click and buy account, so that they could not charge me anymore( since there was no find able way to cancel the game).
So i have not been charged anything, but i did recieve an email from DnL claiming i owe 9.99, but since there is no active account subscription on click and buy they are SoL,
To further ensure i do not get charged for this game, i sent an email to click and buy support to have them DELETE my account entirely, thus any information they had is no longer availible.
Hope that helps any one.
Tho i do suggest making copies of everything so that you are prepaired to fight back if things go on any further

What to say?
I came last summer. lured by the promise of a huge world with a 'Realm vs Realm' PvP system carried to it's full potential.
I found a huge world (partailly) opened up, but with the vastness I had hoped for and expected.
I found a vision of a PvP system which was close to what I had expected.
I found some, (but not all), the elements of that system implimented.
I found that the character models and game engine were 3-5 years behind the the cutting edge, (just better than EQ Live, and not up to DAoC)
I found many of the 'bells and whistles' partially impimented or lacking.
I found a customer service system as poor as any I have encountered.
I found a huge world with second or third rate graphics and mechanics, with a population that made the whole premis of a huge world a dettriment rather than an asset.
I left after three months, and have not returned.
PvP REQUIRES enough players to sustain it (ESPECIALLY in a huge world).
In MMORPGs, (as in life), perception is everything.
This game has been permanantly tarred, (in my opinion), by their poor reputation for customer service, their 2nd rate game mechanicas and graphics, and the inexcusable number of problems they had during their first three months.
Their vision remains the 'Holy Grail' of PvP MMORPGs; however, I think that it will fall to a different game and company to fulfill that vision.

I bought DnL to start as pioneer and I never regretted it. I had a few month much fun and I definitly loved flying with my dragon :)
I stopped playing before the Release and played a few days after release. I never collected my heritage. I didn't like PvP and I threaded DnL as a stand alone RPG. I played nearly 2 years Ryzom, this was a really fine MMORPG and I had much fun with others. DnL was just too empty and maybe I like doing RPG in German more than in English.
So once more: DnL is worth playing it, and it was worth the money I had to spend. I think, if one like this style of playing, the graphics doesn't count too much. And the graphics is better than WoW - so what's wrong with the graphics?

I remember the excitement of finally seeing DnL closed beta when a friend of mine got in. DnL was on my short list of games to watch. Game was total crap (excuse my french). Then all the delays, and delays and delays. That was the first red flag.
While I was tempted for about half a second to pre-order my common sense told me to hold off, too many warning signs. Glad I did. While I'm happy that some people actually got to enjoy this game I have yet to personally meet anyone that likes this game (in my guild there were about a dozen people that signed up for DnL).

i'd been following this game since 03 and was ready to give it a try. I was lured by many promises on how this isn't going to be your typical hack/slash mmo.
So I foolishly pre ordered the game to get one of there lucky pioneer keys thinking this would be the next big thing.
Much to my dismay my computer would barely run the game on a gaming laptop. I watched for information on how to get my money back and cancelled asap.
Now we have the BS over clicknbuy charging peoples accounts and good luck getting a hold of CLICKNBUY over the phone.
Absolutely awful customer service.
A charge of 69.98 was made to my cc on Nov 16th. I received an email saying the charge was cancelled on the 21st. So I waited for a refund for 8 days and sent off an email on the 29th. Today! Finally i get this.

After actually talking to a C&B rep on the phone (which btw, took two weeks of calling to accomplish), who claimed the very same thing... it didn't hit my account until three days later.
C&B is nearly as bad as Farlan with this stuff. Won't go near either again. :(

What a stupid place to put the "idiotic claim of the week" board.
Are they unaware what damage the condensation given off by the coffee-maker will do to anything pinned up even close to it?
Surely a much better place to put it would be on the official notice board, out in the main corridor so that other depts could also view it, or even on the rest-room door (outside of course) as an awful lot of time is wasted going in and out of this, the most popular, room in the whole building.
How can anyone have much faith in an authorotive organization that cant even place the "idiotic claim of the week" board somewhere sensible?
I for one have very little faith left in them.
