This is one thing that most other games miss quite often. If i carry a light leather armor then i should be able to move faster then a fully armor-dressed knight. I don't know if it is decided how it will be but if it is decided then i'd like to know what it will be like.
otherwise plz drop your opinions/ideas here :)

It also should be determined by your strength. if a skinny elf went around with a full plate and a chainmail underneath he should be having a hard time even crawling. But if a giant troll had the same outfit it wouldnt affect him that much cause his pretty buff.

Indeed , armor should affect movement in some way but then again the weight carried by the char should be taken into account too , otherwise nothing would keep a char to use light armor to move and heavy armor to fight ..

This idea sounds good to me. Let me give you an example from DAoC (Dark Age of Camelot).
Every item you had in DaoC had a specific weight. And each item of armor (which were made of what we would concider heavy, i.e. iron or some other heavy metal) weighed more than what some shitty piece of leather armor would weigh. All of the weight that the character carries around had a "correspondance" to his strength. And as the weight increased, or exceeded his strength, he began to move more and more slowly. Eventually, if he was carried WAY more than his strength allowed, he would stagnate. I believe this was a very good system of weight-allowance, and hope it will be carried about in DnL.
