I think its safe to say every person that ever played EQ only enjoyed the game for one reason, getting trashed, when yuo drank boose in that game your vision would get all screwed up and youd walk funny that was awesome. sadly my guild spent hours gettin drunk and playing hide and go seek in town. i would be very depressed and disgruntled, if vison and walking and stats didnt get screwed up from drinking.

Well there should definitely be a guild photographer then to capture whatever drunk scenes might occur !! And also we can imagine drinking contest : " Whoever beats the dwarf can hit the troll in the face "

th idea of plying hide and seek is great but i thought it was gonna be a close third person view and not first person. or can we switch between them . If that was allowed it would be great.

hmmm what if your character is drinking and in RL you are drinking? Never done it before so how hard is it to play with double-double vision? I vote multiple views!

Or when your character drinks too much he/she passes out or starts throwing up on people! We could start fights and wars just by drinking!

Ha haaa. lmao. So funny reading these posts ( I must be easily amused) Oh yeah what great ideas. Getting drunk on EQ so much more fun than on good old Runescape - different beer for different purposes - eg add a temporary level to smithing/mining while at same time taking your combat skills down. I'm with you lot - bring on the booze and multi cam views. And double double vision - omg soo good 'get smashed online and offline at the same time. Bringggg on the booze I shhhhay! No I'm not shmashed itsh the jusht the game. OH shiitt. Can shomeone pick me up from the floor.

thats a great thought, i have never played EQ before but i have a sugjestion. if you can get drunk, what about all those mushrooms you see littering the forestfloor, who here can honestly say that theve seen so many fungi in the same place. i havent! seeing as there are so many, what if... and i mean what if... someof these could tempororily say, invert colors, or really meess around with yoru chars head. we could have mushroom induced races!!! eat one kind of mushroom at the start then race all the way to the top of a mountain eat a differant kind of one, and at the half way point get them all boozed up! then for extra fun have them repeat the course, the last one to die/pass out wins!!

yeah probably the best thing that has happen to EQ was the booze, but it's a shame that there ain't any animations for drinking you can't even hold a bottle in your hand. And now they have removed the zig-zaging so you can't tell if someones drunk, exept when he chatts because his text gets all scrued up(a cool way too simulate the spluttering when your drunk)

Don't know if Spluttering means the thing I am reffering too but it's the only word I could find in my swedish to english book :cool:

I think I read in a dev-chat somewhere that some of the mushrooms in DnL will have "halluciogenic" (spellcheck please) qualities... even distortion of vision :P

well, if it works with mushrooms, it should be no problem to make it work for booze :P

I for one am totally in favor of zig-zagging... especially in the two non-PvP kingdoms

If you want to see a more recent take on getting wasted, check out Neocron. Alcohol and drugs were all over the place. Drinking would be like in EQ where you couldn't see crap and ran into walls, again that was a lot of fun. Taking drugs did the same thing in certain cases. Both did have an affect on your stats though, positively and negatively. What was fun was to pump yourself full of drugs and alcohol and then go try to kill something. It was almost impossible. ;)

I'm glad this thread was brought back to life again, cuz that means when I open my Tavern, next to my Forge, next to my House, I can go and get Drunk, then try and craft, then go and eat. :cool:

I'll invite a load of other Dwarves around and we can have The Drunk Dwarf Games. hehe.
