The Age of Judgement clan (Dark and Light division) has its website at: www.ageofjudgement-dnl.org (http://www.ageofjudgement-dnl.org). The advanced portal system is still under development but it should be finished enough in a few weeks so that recruitment can begin.
The clan is trying a new organizational approach for the Dark and Light game based upon small tasks forces. As such we will not have a large hierarchy but will be able to accommodate yet coordinate all playing styles into a single goal of protecting and expanding the power of the Light.
Dark and Light has a complexity not yet seen in other MMORPG games encompassing land controlling nobles, fighters, explorers, traders, crafters, etc. While conventional clan organization will work for one or two of those professions it will not work for all. Coming together as an alliance of small specialized clans will not work either due to poor alliance organization combined with the fact that only clan leaders get to participate in alliance decision making. The best organized clans will have the most land and be involved in the most game events.
So the Age of Judgement clan aims to be a large clan with better organization and better participation than an alliance yet be decentralized enough so that every player can find their place and have fun within task forces of their choosing (or even by themselves). Task forces will tend to form around natural leaders having the time to devote to the game. Those players that have a common synergy will tend to group with each other into what are essentially small, speciallized clans (some will only exist for a short amount of time). If a leader is not any good or is too rude no one will want to join him or her on any project. A player can be a leader of and be a part of as many task forces as he or she wants.
Recruitment will be open to all for I have never been able to judge the ability of a person as a player from any kind of interview. Ability only shows itself in game. Soon the Age of Judgement clan will have tests for potential task force leaders for all areas of the game including diplomacy, recon, raiding, smuggling, trading, crafting, army - navy - air force heavy combat, private intelligence, public news, event and quest planning, role-play specialties, nobility, etc.
Some intitial clan policies will be set by myself but most will be voted on by the clan membership once more is known about the game. General policies will be voted on by the whole clan while more specialized policies will be voted on by the task force members who have the knowledge and who it affects. My role as leader is to be the chief organizer and motivator responsible for the high level strategic direction of the clan. (I will certainly not be the fastest leveler). Those that violate policy will be disciplined (more info at the clan website.) I will have veto powers over all policies in order to keep the clan true to its vision.
