Guild threads for the Guild Script

Just making this for people who are creating topics for the script.

You can create your thread anywhere in the guild forums, it can be easier for some if they have it as their welcome thread in their guild forum, but its up to you whether its in your guild forum or in the general guild forums.

For the guild thread link you'll need to post it in the form of:

http://www.darkandlight.net/forums/showthread.php?t=xxxx

basically meaning you'll need to go to 'forum' view and right click the thread there and go copy shortcut, else you will end up with a link to the post itself, which won't work.

Any other questions can be posted here, and i'll try help out where i can.

Why can't I use that one as my Guild-Thread?

Not sure, it might be something in the site script limitting it to the Guild forums, try make a new thread here and copy paste the text across. See if that helps.

I'd like to ask you a question neo:

How (or when) is one allowed to have a Sub-Forum in the Guilds Forum?
Is it reserved only for big guilds, is there a minimum members number or something else?

to be honest, i'm not sure any more. There used to be a requests board where people could ask for a guild forum, but that seems to have vanished with the old site. I'll try ask Satange about it and see what the new format is.

Answer is in the 'About Guild Boards' topic in the General boards:

If you're a guild master with a dedicated board please contact me (private message or post in this thread) to get your moderator status back.

If you're guild master and if you want a dedicated board, please contact me too (with link to your website or your introduction guild thread).

And don't forget to create your guild in the clan section of the website.

The inactive guild boards will be removed after a period of time.


So your best would be to either post a request in that thread or contact Satange directly, via PM.

Or do I have to make a clan forum guild, to make an ingame clan?

Is there such thing as a guild hall or something in the game in which guilds can meet up in to organise attacks etc. Is there any kind of base???

Hi! I've been trying to register my guild. I fill in all the little boxes, made sure the clan logo was the right size, etc. Unfortunately, I keep getting an error saying that I need to 'fill out the entire form correctly (code 2)'

I have given up trying to figure out what this means. Any help would be appreciated!

the link to your guild thread is wrong. You need to go back to guilds, click that, and scroll down and click your thread and copy THAT address, not the one you go to directly after you created the thread.

At least, that is why i kept getting that error. Hope that helps...

How long does it take until the registered guild shows up in the system?

I registered mine, it says I can't register another so I assume mine cleared, but I can't find it in the list...

Does it take a day or so, or is it supposed to be automatic?

I am having the same issue OpulentRecords. From what it seams, it could take a few days to show up. I registered mine 3 Days ago now and still no sign of it.

hi im trying to register guild but once ive filled in all info and click submit and i get upload error check size and type of file etc. not sure if its the clasn logo im using but its 40x40 and jpeg file so i think it should take it.

anyone else have something like this and got it sorted?

I registered XPlorer Corps at least 4 days ago, and no dice. I'm getting ansy, because I have a few people waiting to "join" the guild, but they cant yet.

I too have registered a guild but no update to its status. I also tried sending a PM to Satange but that account is not accepting PM atm. Is there someone else I should contact to request a dedicated guild forum and moderator status? I also posted in the actual guild request thread and still no status. Just trying to find out what's going on, since SOG is to go live in a week and I would like to get the guild recruitment on the roll.
