Hello everyone,

I registered for beta about 5 days ago and occasinally i come to check my beta profile to see if i typed anything wrong.

I just found out that in my beta profile all of the "ticks" i put next to the games that i beta tested previously dissapear. I try reediting in ie and netscape it says account changes confirmed taking you back to control panel.

i go back to view my beta profile and the ticks dissapear again..

i did a small search on the forums regarding this problem but could not find anything.

I would really appreciate if you could shed some light on this issue or if you could simply provide me with a link/email where i can contact the customer service(if it exists) regarding this issue.

I can't help you, but I wanted to let you know that you are not alone. The same thing happens to me. and I've been registered for months. So if anyone out there can help, please do.

It is my understanding that this bug is perspective based. Meaning that though we continue to see it all screwed up, the webmasters and whomever else is looking will be seeing it with all the ticks you clicked. An odd bug, but at least the parts that matter are visibile to the people that actually make the data worth while.

It sounds like, Digital said, a bug only affecting your perspective. The form, when you submit, should be sending a raw data sheet to the developers where each "tick" is replaced by either a 'yes' or 'no'. Loading the profile again, in your browser, doesn't affect what was already sent, and I think it's a simple matter of the form not calling the server for what information you put in last time. The devs should have your correct info.

could the devs or the webmasters then confirm what is said above? having beta tested 6-7 titles in that list, it is quite important for me

Like these two just said, I have no idea what Im talking about. I didn't program the site and my knowledge of computer programing in marginal at best; though bragging does get me a bit of attention. I can only hope that the devs see this and realize how much of a poor beta tester I'd be. I mean, bragging about being in beta is right up my alley. /sarcasm off

I hope you all have your ticks problem solved soon. (No pun intended) But as for me, it's empty all the time, with problems! I have nearly nothing checked off in those boxes, hense, I've never been in a Beta or an online game. I've been to RP prog's, but they weren't this massive. I hope, for my sake, that the devs will allow a chance to us wee ones whom would like the chance to participate in the DnL beta - to be appart of it. I know they would most prbably look for experienced players to begin with in the first phases; according to the beta form and length of subscription to the community. Also, amount of posts, I hear. (If you've contributed to posts and had someone worth saying instead of repeating what everyone else had already said! ) Well, I'm done complaining here. Hope my words are taken into consideration. *low whimper*

Patience.. and keep plugging away at any Beta that interests you.

www.mmorpg.com is a good place to start. They show when beta test start for pretty much every game that comes into exsistance.

If you are serious about Beta testing its to your advantage to sign up for Beta to as many games as possible. Odds are you will start developing your resume of Betas.

Just as a side note.. real Beta testing is tough... your dealing with unfinished product. The game is just on the good side of playable, the graphics are not complete and can even be completely missing. You have to enjoy looking for ways to "break" games and than the important part, telling the devs how you did it. This is frustrating... involving restarts of the comp endlessly as you test your theory on how to crash the game or exploit a bug because the client "locks" etc.

There is a rewarding feeling to it. I like it for the stress relief. Work all day... come home than systematicaly plug away at find errors. Its a kind of zen (least for me) and it feels good when you contribute to making something better for others.

Than again.. i could just be blowing hot air out of my bum. :P
